Short box vs Long box

A lifted LB looks way better than any shortbed. Just my $0.02

Long bed all day long. I love being able to fit things in there with room to spare, and like the others said, it's a truck. Get a FJ or 4Runner if you want an SUV.

 

Short bed here, have had cabinets new in the box, tons of lumber(not at once), stuff piled high strapped down. If it's to big( 30 sheets of drywall etc.) trailer comes with. Like the short bed, got a good deal. If the deal would have been on a long bed, then that's what I'd be driving. they're all Tacomas, right?

 

I chose long bed a long time ago, only because in Canada, you have to get the longbed if you want automatic, but really I'd like a short bed with automatic.

 

short bed, unfortunately, i do a lot of fishing, and loading up the cart, cooler, chairs poles all the good stuff it barely fits it all, but that does keep it from sliding around so i guess its okay.

 

I now have almost 10k on my DCLB that I bought new. It does park like a full size, and given the fact that I drive in the city often enough and park in parking garages which can be cumbersome. The short wheel base would have been nicer for that. But its is doable

However, I can put my wife and three kids in the cab, haul dogs, canoe, fishing poles and all of their junk to the lake locked in my bed under the cap. Wood, tools, pipe, just took a tree down and put all the firewood, branches, saw, fuel, lunch, et al in the back..... and it all fit

DCLB for the win

 

Extended cab, long box. Can't beat that combo, unless you have kids of course. 5' box is useless to me.

Short Bed looks better and has a shorter wheel base which helps off road, but long bed is more useful

 

Toyota, make a DCLB 6MT next redesign and I will agree.

And yes, I know 5spd auto in a Tacoma is probably the better transmission, but I like shifting gears and mine has not let me down yet.

 

Long bed. Cant do much with a short bed.

 

LONG BED! im a little bias since I own a long bed..but if you want to actually use your truck, like I do and put dirt bike and motorcycles in the back than LONGBED is the way to go!

 

Short Box with box extender...best of both worlds.

 

got acess cab long box.. So I can haul stuff.. I am used to it, the company gave me a 350 crew cab with 6 foot bed.. so no differnt.
