Nice dude!! So what u gettin then!?
And its my buddies car that u ain't never met. We already got a few parts: 1jz, rotors, intercooler, clutch ... A few other things and then of coarse a lot of time in grinding and welding so far. We are working on the cage now, then once its done we're gonna fab some motor mounts, fit everything in the engine bay, then pull the motor back out and bondo some stuff and go ahead and paint the engine bay. We're doin a blue, kinda like a BMW blue but a little more royal with a flake

just ordered a 1.5'' aal from toytec, hopefully to correct my nose high ride from the 5100's at 1.75. this is the kit:
My truck doesnt have the rear tsb, and its out of 36k warranty. Wouldnt this be better anyway? Also threw in the Old Man Emu carrier bearing drop kit.

When I got my HID's in, I installed them and both my headlights worked. But same problem with my fog lights, bad ballasts. I've got a lifetime warranty with them but I haven't had time to send them back.

Gideon- that supra is gonna be SICK!!! Turns out the leak I have in my TJ is a rear main seal leak, apparently pretty common. On the jeep forums they say its pointless to replace unless it's leaking really bad (which ours is not) but its around $500 to have someone do it and it's not guaranteed to stop leaking. Most people say it starts in leaking again in only a few months.

Also, just reading a little on stroking out jeep engines and they say if you take the 285 crank from the 4.2 engine and put into a 4.0, then it becomes a 4.5???? that's what I got out of this post:

"4.2 isn't a stroker motor, it's the predecessor to the 4.0, also known as the 258. You can bore the 4.0 to a 4.2, but you get low end torque from a longer stroke, you get more high end HP from larger bore. The 4.5, 4.6, and 4.7 stroker motors are just the 4.0 with a crank out of the 4.2(258), if left alone thats the 4.5, .030 over- 4.6, .060. over- 4.7."

I would be more concerned with axle strength than a motor build...

I don't see how no one has commented on this! Lol
This is the same thing. Ur leaf pack came with 3 leafs and the tsb just adds a 4th leaf which is just an aal so ur doin the same thing! Haha and what's the reason for a carrier bearing drop? For people who don't care about front end clearance!?

Thank u sir! I'm gonna keep yall updated on it. Finish build for it scheduled for next summer so hopefully we can get it out in a few circuits before the season ends.
And all that shit was very confusing! Displacement should be one of the last things u should worry about if u are turning that thing into a mudder/rock crawler. Yes u make more power and torque by stroking a motor but I'm confused by the math .... So if u take a 4.0 and put a 4.2 crank ONLY in it then somehow u get a 4.5? I understand the .030 over bore equals a 4.6 and .060 over bore equals a 4.7 when bored from a 4.5. And he also seems to argue with myself stating that its more worth stroking the motor because of low end torque gains but if u bore it also u will make more power .... Why not do both then. This guy seems to suck at real life things
Weston I would listen to this guy!! As much as I don't like him, he does seem to know what he's talkin about

ok thought so.. and carrier bearing drop usually cures driveline vibrations after aal installs. for 12 dollars i bought it anyway just in case i havve vibrations. And what do you mean front end clearance lol its on the rear driveshaft
