you are welcome to your opinion. and I never said faith is a pre-requsite.

however, many believe a kid raised in a faith based home may have an understanding of selflessness...that there is something larger than themselves...that there is hope even if they feel like an outcast...

as I posted, you are welcome to not agree. Myself and millions of others however do.

 

I understand that people of faith believe that faith is important , that's a no brainer

 

Out of curiousity for you Canucks....If one of you were on the bus where that dude sliced off the passengers head and started eating him, do you wish you had a weapon?

 

Someone took that the wrong way. The incident isn't included under the easier to disarm the person because children are typically unable to defend themselves against an adult.

It is tragic my post was not to lessen that fact.

No I do not wish I would of had a weapon, the man was asleep the guy slashed his neck nothing you could do for him at that point everyone got off the bus and the police arrived I can only imagine what he could of done to the passengers if he had carried a gun.

well the world is officially going to shit. Topeka KS had two cops killed, gunman still at large. San Antonio has an active shooter in a move theater as we speak. and the patriots lost. WTF.

 

So, who's going to defend you when the criminals (who still have guns) attack, the police? Average of about 23 minute respond time! Guns are not the problem at all. All these crimes were committed by people who took guns that were not thiers and did terrible things whith them. I would like you too look up the percentage of crimes with guns that were purchased and registered legally. I'm from Texas and we are known for our guns, how many of these horrible crimes happen here? My wife teaches 2nd grade, she and her fellow teachers aren't mad at guns! It's the people who are in no way involved in any of this that want guns controlled, mind your business!

Its bullshit to say "dont" compare exact same circumstances, with different weapons, and try to use it as leverage in an argument

 

I would like to suggest the fact you had to go back 4 1/2 years to find anything with any shock value says something on it's own

 

guys think about it. all these active shooter events were stopped by what? a gun. whether it be the shooters or someone elses. some people are fucked, but guns arent the problem.

 

A grown man unarmed would have trouble fending off a man or woman with a gun unless they were in close quarters.

My point was a knife attack usually wouldn't have the same impact as a shooting because grown men unarmed could still defend against the attacker. The china comment was added so no one would say "what about the incident in china".

You people that want gun control, lets do the math, # of kids in school x days of school x #of schools vs. accidents. # of airline flights vs. accidents, # of cars vs wrecks, # of fast food places vs. # of people that die of obesity! You cant control these things people are the cause not the objects!
