In all city driving (10% freeway) I got 14.8. That is 260 miles on 17.5 gallons. Seems bad until you correct for the 8% error introduced by larger tire. Makes it 16.1 mpg. Not great but not horrible either.

 

You guys have to understand BenSpeak... Original type is what he meant by that, referring to the 2 electrode type...

Man I got horrible mileage when I lived in Moscow... I totally know what you mean.. I drive Subaru the whole time I lived there and I don't think I ever broke 20 in Llike 13 years of driving around there..

Ben, have you ever explored Moscow mountain and the surrounding "peaks"?

 

You guys bitch about your mpgs but what do you expect. You only drive 15 mph to the next stops sign or the next Moose or snowmobile in the middle of the road. Even then, the whole trip is only a mile or 2.

Yeah... that must of been recent.... I use to go up to the top of that far peak and look down on tamarack all the time... I actually was snow boarding up there like 14 years ago and got charged by a juvenile bull moose. It was on the flat section near where the old lodge use to be just chilling on one of those gates. I thought I was a goner.

 

Lol. Well North Dakota was far enough to get into open loop and have the truck plenty warmed up. And the 12.5 was with it corrected the 9.8%. Lol. Gearing, arrowdynamics, and weight play a huge part and I have butchered all of those from what the factory designed. So the only person to blame is myself and I know that. Just need the cash to fix a few of those items. I want 4.88's and a ARB and the wife wants a supercharger. Soooooo I am thinking 4.56's with a ARB and a supercharger and that should help it out quite a bit! Sad part is is that I think the supercharger will help more than gears if I can only do one at a time. Which is what will happen. So I bet I have a charger before a locker. Which sucks!

 

Yea my dad was hoping his would keep his in OD up hills. It didn't haha

Lots of dumb kids up there.. well everywhere for that matter. The People who own most of that area ( Bennett lumber)are pretty stingy about that. I'm surprised they haven't gated off that whole mountain. I use to ride my mountain bike all over that mountain too.

 

My chains fit my factory 265/70/16's and they fit my 255/85/16's. I've tried them on both. They are pretty tight on the new tires though and were pretty loose on the factories.

 

Should be perfect once you air down

Bought my relay box tonight..well ,y dad did for Xmas we talked all the wiring out and should have everything good before he leaves or close to it for me to finish.

 

im on 35's and i pull like 13 to 15 in town and 14 to 20 on the free way as far as trail millage well even in deep snow i still get around 12.

 

I get about the same as Konsta except on the trail. I think I sit as low as 5 on slow trails.
