I went to Discount Tire to get a set and they told me the only locks I could use were the ones from Toyota. So I went there and bought a set from McGard total cost $44. I bought a set of Michelin 265 -70-R17's for the truck and it occurred to me that it was at least something that may slow down a thief trying to steal them. I used the lug wrench that came with the truck to tighten them using the key. A little common sense (and reading the directions) goes a long way.

I really think it would make it harder for them to steal your rims but not impossible. Your gonna keep the lug keys in the cab right? Well you see the thiefs got into the cab and took his radio, all they have to do is get the keys while they in there and take off the wheels. Unless you plan on keeping your lug nut keys at home, but that would be stupid

They're good for a deterrent but... with the right old socket and a hammer you can get them off easy, or a drill... Still better than nothing. And yea, it'd be stupid to not have a key with you in case you get a flat but... doesn't mean you can hide it in an inconspicuous place that they'd be less likely to find it. Behind the glove box or the back of the center console somehow or such...
