I realize the tire calculator says that , all brands of tires vary in actual size , the km2's in 255/80/17 are 33 1/4

I think the OP should narrow down the pole to include ONLY the tires that are actually available in the size he's asking about... The other choices are useless.

Just like the 255/75/17 guard dogs are really 32 1/2. Deep tread.

Hey pug I tell you that the only tire in 255 80 17 is the bfg mud. But if you read the post it says that if you were to have a company make a tire in this size speak your mind. I am willing to bet that companies scour these forums to see what tire sizes and tread designs that people will want to maximize their profit. Now pug boy if you want a tire in this size vote on your brand or don't vote and tell us why you don't like tall and skinny tire. This is a thread to try to get companies to make a new tire size.

    Too few to list.
I would like these myself but I doubt they'll make special size for us.

Actually a bunch of Dually guys use the 255 80 17 bfg's for more clearance without the tires in the rear touching.

The tire I really want is Toyo M55. I should've bought them in 255/85/16, but I settled for km2's. From what I've read the M55 is an excellent, durable all terrain tire. Next time, I guess. But the 17 inch pizza cutter option would be marvelous!
