Western Red Cedar , and while it's a good size , it's not huge or even big

No, he doesn't have too much only been there a year. He actually lives here in DAL and commutes, his wife still lives and works here.

My sister lived in Sequoia Nat. park for 14 years, what a bitchin' job she had as supervisor over seeing operations for the cabins for rent, she made good money, & they provided her with a 4 room cabin of her own over looking a valley near Lodgepole... I loved visiting her about every year... HUGE TREES & lots of black bears too..

 

HAHAHA.. Im not sure where that was taken Doug, Lenie and i were on our way back from Courtright Reservoir from a fishing/camping trip above Fresno at the 8200'.. I thought she called it Sequoia grove ?..

That is the tree of all big trees Oz, a Sequoia, just mind blowing how big these are, give ya a quick example:

One night we were at an outdoor amphitheatre listening to some ranger talking about this & that when all the sudden the forest behind us literally exploded with the sound of something incredibly large making an incredible amount of creaking,cracking & crashed with a huge "thud", & that fucker sounded like it was directly behind us, scared the shit out of me...

Next day my sister told me that indeed one of those monsters had fallen over..... They found the tree that fell.... it was 22 miles away....

 

It was off highway 168 up by prather/ shaver lake area

Yes sir. ExpressJet was part of Continental a few years back was shed and we became our own entity for awhile. Flew primarily routes for Conti for quite a few years. Some of you west coast folks may remember our short stint as ExpressJet Airlines based out of Ontario for a bit doing point to point.

Now we're part of ASA under the Skywest umbrella (damn mergers) and fly primarily for ContiNited with bases in ORD, IAH, CLE, EWR, and mini bases in IAD, and DEN.

We run routes from St. John's Newfoundland all the way down to Huatulco, Mexico and everything in between. Not bad for a "regional" carrier.

Just biding my time until the legacy's start hiring again.
