In recent days, authorities have established that Adam Lanza shot open an entrance into Newtown's Sandy Hook Elementary School. He fired multiple magazines -- each one with 30 bullets -- from a Bushmaster AR-15 rifle to kill six adults and 20 children from two classrooms. Each victim was shot multiple times before Lanza used a handgun to kill himself.

They all pander to who their market is. All of their hosts and "journalists" add thier own personal perspective. Its really annoying. I enjoy following the news and current events, I was a poli sci major. But mainstream media is a joke. I wish they would just report instead of add commentary.

 

Yes the police do not the coroner at least from what i understand. You can't tell what particular gun a bullet was fired from just by looking at it or by caliber, it needs to be matched to the rifling of a particular gun, which i don't believe is done by the coroner. They might have determined the rounds used were .223/ 5.56.

 

Where is it adding commentary when we are talking about them documenting which gun was used in the shooting ?

The only way to really decipher the somewhat possible truth is to listen/watch/read as many as you can and decide fire yourself what is truth. Really fucking sad they can't just give us the facts rather then spin everything.

 

a 223 is a 22 caliber bullet, for a the coroner knew he was shot with a marlin 60.

 

Let me reprase then , and I am honestly asking because I don't know , would the casings from the rifle and the casings from the pistol be identical ?

 

It's pandering when they come out with their own reason for something that happened. IF they just said the facts then that's fine. BUt lets say it turns out he only used handguns, yet everyone on CNN is calling it the AR and pushing for more gun control then that's bad reporting. I would prefer just teh facts.
