Gonna make a tentative list in the mod days thread. So far it's me and you man! I've got a lot of little stuff to do but it'll sure clean up the truck a great deal.

Hmmm. I like the look of it. It's simple, easy, and does what I need it to.

I'd much rather have the light mounted so it's tucked up into the lower valence but I don't really know of a good way of doing that.

Yeah I wish someone had figured out a mount for exactly what I want, haha. I wish I had fab skills and a welder lol. My impatient side is telling me to just drill into the top of my bumper and mount it to that. But I think that would look terrible.

I've got a pretty good list going:
    Hood struts
    Vents
    Paint overhead console
    Paint shifter bezel
    Remove and paint tweeter rings
    Paint vent bezel and install
    Repaint gauge rings
    Re-cover 3 more arm rests
    Install led reverse lights
    Install new shorty antenna
Move ultragauge bracket to custom location
    Re-aim projectors
    Move eyelids
    Fix HID wiring
Would be installing my new cupholder but USPS got it

Could you run a piece of flat bar above it and tap into that for extra support?

I've got some new vents in the mail, mine melted :( so I have to reapply them to the bezel. Small task really.

The gauge rings I might hold off on and have them color matched with my grill just so I don't have to mess with them haha

You mean get a piece of aluminum or steel and just mount that between the lightbar and the plastic of the valence? If that's what you mean, I have thought about it. But the real issue is I'd have to cut out two supports to fit the bar in there. So I think it'd just be too weak and vibrate a ton. I'd also have to move my license plate somewhere.

I haven't really gotten under there and taken a good look at what's behind the bumper. I may be able to find something to mount a piece of angle iron to and mount the light to that. I want the front of the light to be as flush as possible to the front of the valence though, so I think that will pose a problem.

I think you should cut the valence supports and run the light flush with the top against the plastic. Put your flat bar on top of the plastic behind the grill so it sits like this.

    / / bolts
    -----------------------aluminum
    -----------------------valence
    -----------------------light bar

You could even run some brackets down to the lower part of the valence to keep it from 'swinging'

Ok yeah that's what I was thinking as well. I'll take my license plate off tomorrow and see what I can come up with. I'd run out there right now buuuuuut last time I looked, it was -15 out so screw that.

lol, yup, its pretty cold. Needs to warm up so it can snow! Anybody know the science behind that? I've never put the thought into why when it gets so cold it won't precipitate.

has to do with humidity as well. i know at 32
8 the humidity is also 32. thats why the snow is so “wet” even the man made stuff. also it even gets that cold here that it wont snow. :(

Lol, well if you think about it...it only gets extremely cold when it's clear out. No clouds = no rain/snow. Something to do with high barometric pressure. It pushes out or evaporates any water vapor in the air, hence the clear skies and cold temperatures.

I think its also usually pretty clear out when it gets that cold. Hence the lack of snow.. :notsure:
