I am surprised how well the MGM hides the scratches.

    whats up guys??

havent had too much time to get on here...work is nuts and it aint even tax season. My buddy/coworker is still out on medical leave. He starts his 4th chemo treatment next week. But yea....i have had my work and his....we hired a guy who is dumber than a bag of rocks which is no help.

currently at work...just went to leave and the truck wont start. Jumped it this morning so i kinda figured this would happen. Either somehow the battery is dead or the alternator aint charging. It cranks right up on a jump though.

    ahhh...Tis the season

    I def did...made me chuckle...

Im thinking after driving it last night after getting it jumped...and then again this morning, its definitely the battery. Once its jumped everything runs just fine. If the alternator was bad...wouldnt most of the electrical stuff not work (turn signals be slow, lights dim....etc) just a thought at least.

So being i will most likely need a new battery...whats the best to go with???

Any recommendations? Im thinking of going OPTIMA since il be hooking the winch up soon.

    RED TOP? YELLOW TOP?

I have heard some pretty shitty stories about Optima batteries being total crap on another forum. I personally wouldn't get one of them from what i read, but who knows maybe they are much better now (I haven't talked about batteries or looked up info since mine blew out 2 years ago). Many others for far less $$$ out there. I know a few guys are rocking die hard marine batteries and have said good things about them.

    They are deep cycle batteries.

Experience Real Power With the DieHard Platinum Marine Battery
The DieHard Platinum Marine Battery 34M uses 99.99% pure virgin lead plates and tin-coated brass terminals, providing 850 cold cranking amps. This means that you have the power to operate trolling motors, marine accessories and RVs. You also get the power you need for starting in any type of weather. You can run multiple accessories with 135 minutes of reserve capacity and the deep discharge recovery is perfect for multiple connections.
The DieHard Platinum Marine Battery is ideal for boats because you get longer off-season storage time. So, when you take your boat out of storage at the beginning of the season, you don't have to worry about a dead battery. This battery features Absorbed Glass Mat construction, which provides greater flexibility when mounting and longer service life is guaranteed. Operation is maintenance and worry free because the non-spillable design keeps the high purity grade acid safely in place. In addition, you get superior resistance to vibration with the military-grade construction.

    • The DieHard Platinum Marine Battery 34M comes with a free three-year limited replacement warranty
    • The 850 cold cranking amps gives you starting power in all weather conditions to run your RVs, trolling motors and marine accessories
    • The deep discharge recovery is perfect for marine and deep cycle applications, while the 135 minutes of reserve capacity gives you the power to run multiple electronic accessories
    • Be ready to go as soon as the season starts due to longer off-season storage time
    • Absorbed Glass Mat provided maintenance free operation and greater mounting flexibility by safely holding the high purity grade acid in place

I know other guys are running them in Tacoma's and other Toyota models. I have no idea what size they are though. I'm sure you can cross reference the normal die hard for our trucks that would be equal in size for their Platinum Marine models.

yea thats what i was just doing...looks like it will fit...might have to build up the bottom of the battery tray if anything. Its a little shorter than a stock one...but id imagine it would be fine.

Hey now... Don't just listen to me. I have no experience with them. Just telling you what I heard. I would do some research before you buy one.
