I still have the TRD stickers on the bed. Haven't decided if I wanna take those off yet.

Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
My neighbor down the street has a small rain forest growing around his badges. My old Jetta had a dark ring around them that I could never get rid of. Taking the badges off gets rid of crevices that only attract and hold dirt.

I had the dealer take mine off before I drove it off the lot. He actually gave me the idea.

I'm thinking about debadging because I tried to plasti-dip my badges and it didn't come out too perfect (I'm a huge perfectionist as well, not to mention I just got my taco).

It looks cleaner. I have removed the 764937 badges that Toyota put on the tailgate and removed the TRD stickers. I am going to remove the door badges when I get back to warmer weather

I think it looks nice when I see it on other trucks but I probably won't do it to mine.

This thread needs more poll. :)

    .
IMO, debadging looks so much cleaner, even taking the cheesy TRD Stickers off. But I trade every 2 years or so and dealers like all that OEM gingerbread on the truck.

The only debadging I have done thus far is the tailgate. When you have a few decals on the rear window, it just doesn't go well with the "4x4" mudflap text mixed in with chrome tailgate badging. After removing the tailgate badges it looks much cleaner, and eliminates all the eye-gouging clutter.

The side badges look just fine to me, and I may plastidip or paint them black someday. I really like that Toyota went with the older 1st gen style TRD-OR bedside decals for the 2012 and 2013's (I am guessing 2012 is when they brought the older style back?) and on my pyrite the subdued OD/Brown and grey shadow OEM bedside decals look really complementary to the truck.

The only time I think debadging is silly is when people complain about "they are not paying me to advertise so I wanted them all off" kind of stuff. To me that is silly. I don't see it as advertising, I just imagine it is to add some flare to the vehicle. Sometimes badging looks really nice, and other times it is doody-butt.

When ever I see a debadged vehicle of any kind I shake my head.

I don't get it. Looks like a lame attempt to be different.
