there was actually a discussion on calguns regarding this. if you have friends who are going to "call you" or "go to your place" when the shtf, you should ask them "what are you going to bring?". a lot of people will say their significant other or their kids. you should say "if you're not bringing anything useful, then you can stay home".

it's slightly inflammatory, but it does make people think about their contribution and how selfish their behavior is. if the shtf, they need to understand that they themselves are woefully underprepared and that if they don't understand the art of self-reliance, they won't survive, period.

I got the guns, someone needs to bring the booze and food.

Sierra was amazing today. Saw an insanely nice 4runner (I think, it had a V8 badge and idk if they come with V8's) that was lifted with King's suspension, sliders, skids, roof rack and I think LED bars. Wanted to get a pic but couldn't find where I left my phone :(

Because that's what she's used to.

    Nothing "broke."
But I had to pull the 3rd member and send it back to ECGS. Something funky was going on with the locker.

Anyone interested in a Yakima mega warrior roof rack + extension? There was one on CL i talked the guy down to $300. But friend has one I may end up picking up. It's located in Daly City.

10 would do pretty nice in a truck that size unless you really like trying to shake the truck apart then by all means get the 12:)

I may go to either Sierra or Heavenly, it really depends which one I feel like doing more this time.

I'd be down sometime on a Friday or Saturday (with the dog, too) but not this weekend, I'm still sick. Blah

Just snowshoed near Emerald Bay this past weekend and we saw a bald eagle soaring over the lake. Pretty amazing. We didn't really *need snowshoes there.

Hopefully, after this weekend, there'll be a ton of snow in Tahoe.

BTW, snowshoeing down Glacier Point Road in Yosemite is pretty awesome-XC ski is better but 'shoes allow you to get out to places like Dewey Point.
