Well since you asked for opinions, it is very nice, but to a large segment of the buying public it is still an 06 Tacoma with 106K miles.

I paid not much more than that 3 years ago for an 07 with less than 40K, granted it was not 4WD and it didn't have all those aftermarket additions.

Just came from a Sierra, absolutely night and day difference. It was nice when the dash would light up like a christmas tree with warning lights.. but it wasnt Christmas. It was alway something small needing repaired, nickel and diming to death. IE. Front ABS sensor, must replace entire Front wheel hub assembly. cant replace the sensor alone. $800+ repair.
Domestic trucks are dime a dozen, Remember there is a big body style coming in the new year, thus putting the one you are looking at a step back.

I paid around 17,500 for my 06 about a year and a half ago with 60K miles.

I just sold my 07 silverado after owning 8 toyotas before. I really liked the truck but it just didnt compare to a Toyota. Resale value really plummets on Chevys the higher you go in mileage. Not the case with toyotas due to their reliability and popularity. Granted I had no problems with the Chevy and it had a lot more room I still preferred the tacoma. I had an 05 tacoma before the Z71 and now I just got a 2010 tacoma.

Something else to think about. The Chevy you linked looks highly modded. That will significantly narrow your buyers when you go to sell it (if you decide to). I personally would not sell the taco for that but it's you and not me. Whatever makes you happy is what matters. Below us the truck I just bought. Really glad I made the switch back.

the price is about average considering its a 4x4 Sport with some goodies. However I dont think its a smart idea to sell the tacoma for the GMC sierra. Its like trading your wife who will always be there for you , bring you beer and cook for you and your friends when drunk for a wife with an A cup whos an anti gun vegetarian ..... its just something you dont want to do

Toyota = long life and great resale value even with high mileage.

    Im getting there......
I agree with everyone here OP, The Sierra looks pretty cool obviously has a lot of money in it and such but first of all you will have to consider the fact that buying a truck so heavily modded will not be cheap for repairs and will not be re-saleable. Primarily because extensive mods like the LT on that truck seems to be...cannot be reverted (that truck will never be able to be returned to stock in future). Furthermore if you want an lt truck you should have experience with lt and fabrication because no dealer or anyone else will want to touch it (put new tires on it, change the spark plugs you name it) because it is a liability. I am just pointing this out to make sure you know what your getting into. Moreover if you want a lt truck build one with your taco or a newer taco it will be a much better truck for that sort of activity.

Finally your truck is certainly pretty nice but I bought my 2007 in 09 with less than 1/3 the miles and king oe replacements for $20,000. Keep in mind my truck had not seen dirt and still had protective plastic on some panels inside from the factory. Likewise, it was the TRD offroad model which if I remember correctly retailed for more at the time.
