Good luck with that. Why the hell you still in college anyways. You are a tech, why spend the money on more schooling if its not for auto:confused:

Especially for hank williams or the other artists the teacher assigned. He/she should have let the students choose the artist and song. I hated english class but i actually loved doing a song analysis because i was able to pick the song.

Probably so he can make better money doing something else haha. I wish i went to college for something else. I got my associates degree in construction management. I should have went to school for something else because i can always have carpentry work to fall back on. It would be nice to have a degree in a different field so i could more easily pursue a different career when i get sick of what i am doing now, which i am already sick of lol. Im sure working on cars your whole life would get old pretty fast also. The trades suck stay in school!

That's true. Always nice having a different trade and doing something else for a change. Having more then one degree is always a plus. More things you can do in your life to make more money. I wanted to go for auto but it was too much money for school and apt. Would have spent 80k on 2 years for school. Thats just way to much for me to spend. I said fuck it, gonna take over my dad business instead.

One of my favorite Tool songs.

I did a comparison between Elvis and Eminem, and their effects on society/culture last night for my English final paper. So much fun!

I'm looking at 6 figures for school, but it's a passion. I could do a trade, but I want a career that won't kill me slowly over time lol. I did most of the framing in our new house, I framed, wired, installed floors, and sheet rocked our basement. But I prefer psychology because the human mind is fucking bazar and it interests me immensely.

I would love to be a mechanic or a carpenter, but I can't see myself doing that for a long time

80k! Holy shit haha. What school were you looking at. The way i see it with any trade is, you have to be real good and you have to know people and then you will get good work and be happy with what you do. There is tons of mechanics and carpenters out there that are talented but they do shitty work all the time, work on shitty cars or shitty houses so they probably wont be happy with what they do. It would be fucking sweet to be a mechanic and work in a garage that only does custom muscle cars or something, but the majority of good mechanics will never get a gig that good. Same thing with what i do, i am busting my ass trying to get in on higher end jobs. before the housing market crashed i was framing 10,000 sq. ft. $1,000,000+ houses. Right now i am working for a company that does insurance restoration jobs so half the time i am working in a shithole in shitty bridgeport. Hopefully soon i will be working with a guy doing high end trim work and be able to get my foot in the door for higher end jobs. If your ganna be in the trades you hafta work your ass off just to be happy with what you do and to make good money.

Hey. That's great. If you know what you wanna do and and you love doing it that's even better. Might take awhile what your doing but in the end it will deff pay off. Helping kids and people with there minds is great. That's what my sister does and she loves it.

I didn't wanna take over my dads place at first. He has been working non stop since he has opened it 24 years ago and is tired and done with it but the pay is really good so that's why I wanna do it. Wanna make it the best restaurant in mass lol

X2 my girlfriend is in that field also, she has one semester left at grad school at NYU. She will probably be bringing home more money than me.

You are Excatly right. If you don't get your foot in the sport and know tons of people, your just not gonna go anywhere in life. My uncle is a carpenter part time and he's been doing it for a long time and still hasent made what he should be doing. Knowing people is key. If prices keep sky rocketing like they are, people are gonna need to be working 100k a year jobs just to get by. It sucks. Everything is just going up and up and pay checks are going down and down. Good luck with what your doing and I hope you get that high end job. Getting paid more is deff better.

I was going to New England tech in ri for auto but it's way to much. Student loans and the interest would have been way to much. I would rather learn my dads business and have him teach me like he is now and then take that over some day.

That's great. Only one semester to go. The only thing that would bother me is having my gf make more money then me:D. I would have to go out and find a better paying job lol. But good for her for going to school and bettering herself. Hope she does well. Making money is always good

I have to get my PHD so I can secure a happy household. Sarah is going to be a social worker, so she could possibly make less than a public school teacher

Thanks, good luck to you also. I don't know much about it but i am sure the restaurant biz can be pretty brutal, also pretty lucrative though. For some people school just doesn't make sense, i know that i have learned a lot more on the job compared to what i learned in school. I might have actually been better off if i worked my way up those two years instead of going to school. I am sure it will pay off someday.

In the unlikely event that tomorrow actually causes a zombie apocalypse, I say we form a zombie apocalypse task force, keeping the dudes with the steel bumpers in front of the pack to mow down those undead motherfuckers.

Just like to have a plan in place...

Henniker Mobil at 9AM. Bring recovery gear and as many weapons as you can fit in your truck

Honestly, doing an analysis on a Lady Gaga song would probably be a hell of a lot easier than the guy you got.
