I hear ya do any of yall have any suggestions on which lift would be most functional as
    . a daily driver
    . tow a 21 foot vhull boat
    . haul fourwheels ect.
I wish to level the truck first and for most (no spacers)
keep or exceed stock drive comfort
Ive got on the way some fj black trd rims and will not exceed a tire size that requires trimming so either 265's or 255'/80
This lift i will replace front coil overs, rear shocks and leafs (no aals) been looking at the OME's
but now the Foxies have caught my eye probly would go with dakar leafs with 2.5 fox coil overs and fox 2.0 non resis in the back if i went the fox rout
any suggestions would be much appreciated
also would i need to upgrade the ucm's since mine is 2wd

If you mean UCA's (Upper Control Arms), the answer is no. Spindles will give you 4" in the front with perfect factory ride, and alignment. And use all of your stock suspension components.

Yea Dang Iphone auto-correct :notsure: didn't catch it sweet would the UCA help with ride quality at all for what im wanting to do or just a waste on a 2wd. Im stuck between the Fox set up or the OME with new leafs in the back. Do you have experiences with either set up or know anyone with one with it.

I believe the Fox setup is made for Off-Road racing of sorts, and would be must stiffer then stock.

Justin (TacoFMS) has the OME setup on his truck, and the last i heard, he really likes it.

The difference you are going to find is that the max you can go through shocks/springs is 3" and that's with new UCA'a. Your ride will not ride like stock again once you swap the shocks/springs out.

Swapping the UCA's is to correct alignment issues, and with spindles, there no alignment issues, because you're not actually changing the suspension from stock. You're just moving the wheels down 4".

Spindles are the only (reasonably priced) way to achieve over 3" while keeping your stock ride. Well, there is better then stock (ride wise) but it will cost you about what your truck did, for parts.

If you're thinking OME. Hold off until the next meet, and ask Justin to give you a ride in his truck, and you can see if you like how it rides. I'm not exactly sure what he has his set at, maybe he will chime in.

I ran the full OME setup on my truck + LR UCA's. It rides nice, but it's definitely firm. The OME shocks are known for being valved pretty stiff.

Good deal! xodeuce and Davtopgun I appreciate it! Yall pointing me in the right direction! I eventually want to get the ARB deluxe winch bumper as well If I go with the 886 OME before hand how harsh would the ride be would I need a mouth piece i go over speed bumps? hence it being a stiffer spring made for the heavy armor up front? and if I replaced the spindles as you mentioned + replaced the coilovers up front would it be a pretty good set up for what ill be using the truck for towing boat fourwheeler in back hunting camp ect.. or just over kill I do not want to stress any parts to affect longevity of suspension componects been through it before not to fun

and with the 4 inch kit i probably could clear 33's with no trimming ? or not ? I have a 3 year 36,000 bumper to bumper warranty dont want to jeopardize that either!

I cleared 285/75/16's (33's) BFG AT's with a little less than a 3" lift on mine. All I had to do was remove the mudflaps, but I was also running 4.5" BS wheels, which helps. BFG's run small though, they were like a 32.4" tire, not a "true" 33". The pretty consistent formula for these trucks is 2.5-3" lift, 33's, and they look and drive perfect. Much past that and you start getting into more trimming, less tire stuffing, moving bump stops, just more work. With 2.5-3" and 33's though it's a pretty low barrier to entry.

I think 886's with no bumper plus the OME shocks is probably going to be a little harsh, but not unlivable.

Anyone know of some good long "expedition" type trails in northernish alabama that would be long enough for a couple days of fun?

Appreciate it xodeuce I ordered some Fj black trd rims from a dealership and they have pretty close to 4.5'' backspacing and since the OME kit is stiff I wouldnt sag while towing the boat which would be ideal. I would hear so much shit about it saging from my buddy with a bowtie.

Do you have any pics of your truck with 33's? and did it rub at full lock?
