I'm not sure what Evander Kane was thinking when he tweeted this? Brandishing massive stacks of cash while some players are complaining about being treated like "cattle" by the owners. NHLPA must have been really impressed to see this pic. SMH what a dumbass.

meh... he's 21. Kids that age don't have the foresight or wisdom to not do stupid shit. The media as usual blows everything out of proportion. His story seems legit and kinda funny if you ask me. Just another guy trying to be a baller

 

exactly. The internet and all of it's social websites are a feeding ground for the media...a union of millionaires sounds ridiculous already...it might as well look the part too.

Just another reason on why you really need to look at what you put out on the internet. There really is nothing wrong with the pic. I am sure he realized he would be criticized since the lock out was already on.

Sometimes it takes sports writers a while to find stuff to write about. They are not the brightest bulbs in the marque.

 

Kane has been getting his chops busted around here since he arrived. Most or all of it has been unsubstantial rumours. I agree that there is nothing wrong with the pic outside of the 'optics' given the current status of the league. If it were an NBA or NFL player in the photo it would just another day.

 

All I know is these clowns realistically now only have about 3 weeks to get a deal done or the season is toast

Same here. Hurricanes made some good personnel moves in the off season, Was excited to see if Semin and the Staal brothers would be productive.

And yes, I know they're a small market team blah blah blah...

What most USA fans do not realize is that Canadians hold their sport atheletes to a higher standard and for the most part the sport athletes accept the responsibility.

 

NHL = No Hockey League

5 of the top 6 earning teams are in Canada and that one team in the US is the fucking Rangers

should be more then 65%
