Hmmm, don't slam Deaver, your J66 lasted you 3 years with rebuilds every 6 months, how is that a quality spring ? You mentioned abuse of truck, the guys trucks I worked on don't abuse them from what I see & 1 member's pack was 3 months old, he couldn't dump them fast enough, I rebuilt his old stock pack , backed them up with 4 leafs of American steel per side, he has travel, he has good articulation, comfort & rate, for half the price, he's been running them now for about 6 months & has nothing but praise, & this guy would bitch if there was issues , as I would want to hear if there were any, so..:notsure:

EDIT: I DO agree tho' if Toyota had done it right from the beginning we wouldn't be talking about it now...

You haven't read the interview with him yet then...He's renting the second car simply because he can and its available. Robby is bringing more than enough team/equipment to tackle Dakar and most likely win. He probably would have won last year if he didnt sacrifice 3 stages to help his teammate in the second hummer. Interview here:

I think it'll be a good thing for the future of desert racing. It'll begin to change with the time more. With better coverage and organization of large venues/events.

Overall I think it'll end up being a very positive change for the desert:cool:

Saw a nice new generation Tundra with glass in all 4 corners with long travel in the front in rear. He says the mods cost him about the same price hes selling the whole rig for...35k! He said its too expensive to use and cant afford to drive it. I dont get how people can piss all of that money away.

    ...too much shit to list.
It's not really that hard. It's really a labor of love. It's really easy dump money into a vehicle with the mindset that you're never going to get rid of it.
And then...shit happens. Get married, get divorced, have a kid or two, have a rough weekend at the tables, interests change, there's endless reasons.
