    WOW, awesome looking place!

I was wondering what you had decided. A month ago when you asked about the move I refrained from putting my 2 cents in because I have no first hand knowledge of operating a business especially a resturant. My initial thoughts were very much like jgwheeler17's. I'm very conservative by nature which has allowed me a comfortable life. However, I have an Uncle that has never met a risk/challenge that he didn't want to take on and has prospered greatly. Yes he's been knocked down but he chalks it up to experience, learns from it and is ready to tackle the next challenge. As comfy as I am I sometimes wonder who's really experiencing life... me gliding through or him charging to the front of the line?

Having said all that probably doesn't help in the least. So here's some questions that come to mind. Does your math include having to hire more waitstaff or can you get by with your current staff? Is parking comparable? Is the new location within sight of the old place in case some customers don't get the word you've moved?

Since it does seem to me that you have the upper hand, my inner "uncle" says to leverage everything you want the developer to provide and if he goes for it then... I can't say it... but I know what my uncle would do. Best of luck to you!

    I like your Uncle!....

:) I'm just a cook trying to live a dream! :notsure: what do I know.... I'f I was good at math, I would have been a roller coaster designer!

I could hit a golf ball with a driver and alot of roll....... to the new location

Compairing the parking of the 2 locations is a no brainer.. Apples and oranges.

Remember, it's not just the rent but the employees and other operating expenses that will go up. In some sense, you'll be adding a second shift and all that goes with that.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
But that could be as simple as a breakfast shift. Fairly easy since it isn't the big rush during a weekday.

If I am busy enough that I need to hire(more)people, then business is good. When business is good money is made, when money is made, people get paid....right? Failing at this is not an option!

    Location-location- location!!!!
Remember --KEEP IT SIMPLE and CONSISTANT.
As someone else mentioned--other expenses. Insurance, utilities, ect.
    $100 in sales a day--sounds about correct.
Better location-more room--You decide--sound like the thing to do.
What about parking-is that a factor?
    Good luck!
You have come a long way from "NO OVERTIME"
Shit--now you will never get it-Joking of course.
Nice to see you are doing WELL.
    MERRY CHRISTMAS.

We almost took over a coffee shop in new port beach. They guy spent 150k on it and after not finding a buyer for six months he offered it to my mom for free who works next door. He just wanted out and wanted someone to the the liability of the lease. $6000 a month for 4 years.

We spend 100 a month- I am sure the rewards are 10X.(minimum-"we saw you on TV")

Lease agreement is being written up  Met with him yesterday and had deep discussion. This is getting real serious.

I still need to stay focused on the current task at hand. Skiing and other winter sports are in full session here. Today kicked my ass... was busy like summer days!

Got the McCall Winter Carnival right around the corner!! He'd like to see me open by then:rolleyes: but we shall see. Both spots will be insane, which ever one is open.

    joy
