Ive never owned an AR before, but in light of the recent events, I have decided to go ahead and get one at just the wrong time it seems. I had always planned to get one, but just kept putting it off. From suggestions by other owners I had decided to go with a colt 6920. Not happening. As you probably know they are nowhere to be found. I was looking at Daniel Defense too. They seem like great guns. Ive been on a week long crash course to learn the difference and try to get the best for the money. My question to anyone that has an opinion, I found a new one that they shop wants 1650.00 for, is this too much?. Its an M4 Carbine V1. Even though they may be out everywhere i dont want to get screwed. I plan to keep it for life, fyi. Any opinions?
    Thanks!

Mega quoted me march-April when I ordered them in end of nov-early dec. aero precision said don't even ask as they are to far behind. Stag is saying indefinite back order but running 3 shifts non stop trying to get parts out. Not sure with noveske as I've never asked them but I'm betting same. Sorry guys. I can barely keep up with upper sales right now. It's not a stock issue with the uppers for me, its a I'm one guy assembling uppers lol.

Yeah, I am trying to be rational and not get sucked into the buying frenzy and get over charged, but on the other hand, the chances of a ban are a lot better than they have been. I would kick myself in the ass if I wasnt able to get one just because I thought I paid a little too much.

Called a shop today, they had just gotten 15 lowers in and had 9 left. 10 minutes later I was there, and they had 6 left. 5 minutes later they were all sold.. this is crazy.

Damn, with the prices on AR stuff, I'm almost considering selling mine at top dollar and all the PMAGS and stuff. I have 10/20s, 10/30's, and 30 rebuild kits or can make them into 10/30. Maybe upgrade to a high end rifle like M98 or Tac50 :)

Wtf? I looked yesterday and they didn't have any
Local classifieds are trying to sell pmags for $70 each.

I just picked up a LE6920 socom this week. Was shocked they had a colt in stock.

I'm stuck in a rural area for work this week and there isn't a decent mag or any .223 to be found.

And as far as Canada goes, we have one of the highest rates of gun ownership in the developed world...

All people in the Nordic countries are required to serve in the military for 2-3 years...once discharged it is their duty to own and maintain a gun...to be at the ready for a call to service if needed...
