I am thinking about buying a 2013 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab. The only issues I have at the moment are there are no heated leather seats, and maybe I can get that as a dealer option or something. It's crap that the Canada Models have heated leather seats and the US models don't. All the options are very overwhelming to me, so what are pros and cons of each? Also if it would help I don't plan on towing anything, but I look at the standard options and they don't have XM/satellite radio which I enjoy since I have it on my other vehicles. If I'm correct the most expensive option is the one that has it. When the Toyota Tundra CrewMax has one option? I have looked at the Tundra and it seems somewhat overkill for what i would be using it for, But I do have a family of 4. So what do you think?
    Maybe I'll get 2012 model.
    Thanks in advance.

I'm wanting to get a feel for what I should be looking for when I go test drive some of these.

Seems I heard the 13 has the heated/leather seat option?

Sounds like you should just take the family for a test drive and see what fits best?

The 2013 limited package has heated leather seats and xm/radio with entune. Double cab will easily fit a family of four. Limited MSRP is about 36k.

It's an expensive option here in Canada. I wish it came standard.

Even though you don't plan on towing, get the tow package! It's got an auxilliary trans cooler (for auto), engine oil cooler, upgraded alternator, upgraded battery, trailer sway control, and a hitch, WAY WAY worth the $$$!!!

I suggest spending an evening on the Toyota website learning the Tacoma models...packages...and options.

"SofTex®-trimmed heated front Sport seat" I have a feeling it's not real leather and it is a knock-off leather. If it was real leather they would probably say leather seats and not SofTex. I'm not a fan of chrome, and i don't feel like paying 37k for chrome and a knock off leather seat is worth it.

Sounds like your decision is made OP, if leather and heated seats are a must over dependability, proven track record, and a very versitile/mpg friendly truck then I would look elsewhere. All about priorities.

No I was just wanting to know, I can sacrifice heated leather seats, not sure about my wife though. Does anyone know how much it would be to get them installed from the dealer? Or if it is possible ?

500 bones for heated leather seats in the front? I'm talking heated leather seats in the front, and maybe in the back if not then leather seats in the back.

Maybe I can get heated leather seats as a dealer option. My wife is saying if there are not heated leather seats than we are getting a Honda Accord, I'm determined to get these heated leather seats.

I hope I don't pay an arm and a leg for it. I mean the accord isn't bad its the same price as the Tacoma with the options I would want. But its been awhile since I have gotten a new truck. My truck right now is a 1986 Toyota 5 speed manual with 115k miles on it.

Just call around to some local shops and ask how much to install heated seats in the truck? I bet you can find it cheaper that the dealer.
