Hahahaha! I was hoping today would be MUCH hotter than it is.

Oh well. I'm up at UC Davis at the vet school. They'll do my dog's emergency dental surgery (seriously?!) for $1400 at the teaching hospital, instead of $2300.

Did I mention my stock truck? At this point I'm just glad there's gas in the tank.

Hard to know. But usually if 80's closed, 50 is open.

Anyone at all? I need to either cancel these reservations now or risk this shit, but I can't be late to work monday morning. I'm not worried about my truck in the snow, I'm only worried about the roads being open.

I would look at the weather forecast and decide based on that. The forecast is for 10" of snow at lake level today. Possibly another 6" tonight and 7" tomorrow-all at lake level.

Caltrans is pretty on top of the road conditions in the Tahoe area but nothing can guarantee the roads would be open. Especially if it is snowing. Right now, there are chain restrictions with exceptions for 4x4 on 80 & 50.

if it were me, I would go and then come home late Sunday morning/afternoon.
