A bumper here, some tires there..... you know, stuff.
First and foremost I'm not bashing discount tire, it just gave me a good chuckle. I half expected something like this to happen.

I went into discount tire to get my treadwrights mounted and balanced this afternoon. I should have called and let them know that they were re-treads before i went but oh well. First the guy looks at the tire and tells me they are not DOT approved because they are re-treads even as i point out the new DOT stamp and number on the tread.

Next we go inside, and from what i can only assume was him trying to make it look like he was working on the computer, while we wait for a manager. Once the manager is informed of the situation, he proceeds to tell me that they won't touch them because re-treads are not safe while giving me his two cents on why. Then tells my original employee i was working with that it's actually because treadwright is not on their vendor list. Why he couldn't just tell ME that, I don't know.

After this i was about to thank them and leave, but the guy i was working with stops me as offers me a set of hankooks for a "discounted" price if i trade in my brand NEW tires. So i ask him what kind of price he could give me just for fun. He then tells me that I would get a $75 credit for each tire because he wanted me to be safe on the road.

All i could do after that was laugh and leave. Waste of my time but good entertainment none the less.

Looks a little weird on a plate bumper, I agree but I like the looks of them. Maybe hybrid bumper would look better

No Cali born and raised. Great group though. I have liked them since they came on the scene. Right now they are more popular in Europe then here. But they got a good break with a song on the Avengers soundtrack.

Anyone selling an AR for an inflated price is a Dbag. I saw a few companies selling their mags for like double and one claims that their profits are going to the NRA but I don't buy that. Some idiot was trying to sell a stripped lower for $500 on here. Should be about 120... a holes

Yep all mags and shit went through the roof everything pretty much doubled in price just cuz of supply and demand there was a gun store in longmont that had an basic bushmaster 223 and he was trying to sell it for 2100$ I was like uh go to hell I paid 900 for my m&p last night and IMO m&p is a better gun

I have tried to use discount one time and will never again. I wanted 265'ss for my Tacoma and they were arguing that they would not fit, because I was not lifted yet. I had 265's on it already I was like how dumb can you be I have that size tire on there. I will never use them for anything.
