Right this is where they filmed shawshank redemption and a scene from Air Force one. We will not be using any flash, we have uv flash lights! How was your visit to TALA?

It was cool, and we are going to do it again when we can get a private group together. The group we assembled last time were mainly folks who work in MODERN locked, mental health facilities.

My wife used to work in some of the old state mental hospitals, as did my father and grandfather. My grandfather used to call on two or three of them, as a physician, back in the 1930...and had a regular schedule of one day a week at two different ones, on the Connecticut shoreline back during the great depression.

My wife's role was as a psychiatrist, my father as a internist, and my grandfather as a GP.

The old facilities saw a tremendous amount of misery and there are very good reason why the spirits are unsettled. Not that we believe in ghosts, but where does the soul go after death?

Still alive! On our way home, it was interesting. I will post some pics and some info tomorrow once we review the recordings and pictures.

Oh man have a ton of fun. We went like 4 years ago with my parents, sister, brother in law, and my then pregnant wife. We all thought the baby would come out possessed. Would love to go again sometime, didn't see anything but got a ton of spooky pics.

Sorry guys been very busy with all the holiday stuff and family I have not had time to put any pics up. We had fun and got a Ton of good pictures. We heard all kind of odd noises. And my cousin swears he saw a shadow figure, but if I didn't see it I don't believe it. While we were in the basement who's is the most active area, we were with a other group that had a spirit box( a device that scans frequency and spirits can talk thru it) we heard a few random words at the same time our EMF meter went off. Still have a ton of footage to go thru. I will update with pics soon.

^ Those boards are actually strictly prohibited inside the reformatory. Talked to some of the owner people who put the event on and they claim that the use of those boards brought in unwanted "entities", not ghosts or spirits but something from another dimension. Didn't totally believe them, but what do you expect at an overnight ghost hunt, it was part of the experience! And yes, the basement was the spookiest area. There was a tunnel/cavern actually blocked off with a big piece of plywood and cinder blocks, one of the staff personally took us in there, none of us had the balls to go very far.
