I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
You will need an impact wrench to help you compress the coils.

You will also need plenty of 2x4's. most floor jacks won't reach the frame once you have the vehicle lifted.

I'd be careful with the impact if you rent the spring compressors. Most of the metals used in those things are hardened, and can be shattered by a powerful enough impact. I much prefer using an air ratchet.

call me paranoid but i dont trust that style compressor period. worked for quite some time at a couple parts stores and saw how they were treated. i would either buy a wall mount(which is the route im taking) or pay a tire shope to do the swap over. i know many people use those all the time just fine but i just am leary of them.

That too. I am equivalently paranoid about those compressors. I paid the mechanic at the Havoline shop by my house $40-50 including a pretty generous tip to do mine while we ate lunch at McAllister's. Didn't even go though the shop, just walked in the bay with the stuff and some cash and asked the guy what he'd charge.

I ran 285/75/16 on TRD FJ rims with the full OME setup, and wheeled it pretty good out in Moab. The front requires some slight trimming, but nothing radical, just the inner fender liner. The rear I never had any trouble with. I took off the mud flaps on the rear though, just to keep from dragging them off ledges and potentially doing damage to the bedsides.
