Love the PA Cableas. Drove from Maryland to visit the Yuengling Brewery in Pottsville. On the way back stopped in and wished I had room in my suitcase for half the store.

I was fine until they opened one up about 20min. from my house (Hammond,IN). :bananadance: I pass it to and from work every day too. Racks and racks of used guns. I think I'm wearing the numbers off my cc. :frusty:

Have fun! You're going to be amazed at how much they have there. Maybe before you go you should set a limit as to how much you should spend..... nah, that never works for me either. Enjoy yourselves!:yay:

I'm also a fan of their cafe. We have tried some very unique foods in there!

Oh man.. I feel your pain. :smack: Every time I go there it's a wallet flush.

Last trip was $780 just last month. But I got some cool stuff. :D Then I get to the back where the boats and atv's are.. Then I get pulled out before I do something stupid.. Thank goodness for women with common sense.

so..we went. left early, got there around 11am. wandered around for a bit, got some cool stuff...there was one thing that pissed me the fuck off thou.

I specifically went up there for a dozen arrows, since they set them up for free, and I tuned my bow with these arrows. Talked to one kid behind the counter at the archery dept. who didnt seem like he wanted to be there at all. asked him to cut my dozen $60 arrows to 29"..Sure no problem. WELL...i got them back, and they were to long,he melted a couple of the veins on a arrow, and where the insert was put in looks like he just globbed glue on there and called it good. I went back to the counter and explained the situation to another man, who got me a new dozen arrows and cut them properly. No problems..kept shopping, and then left around 2pm. I JUST opened them up, to find another one of the arrows that has a vein melted on it..SO PISSSED. Just went to cabelas live chat to ask a few questions, but they couldnt help, said I'd have to call the store...Is it really worth it to try and get a replacement arrow?..I just figured it out and there about $5 per arrow..12 arrows at $60. It just aggrivates me that I went out of my way, and I get this bullshit:rolleyes:

O yea, and I had to get some stuff for my dad, and i got a few things for the new puppy, and I got my gf a ring..so Im well over $300 this trip to..Damn.

that sucks. what brand of arrows do you use? i buy plain Carbon Extreme shafts cut to length, and do the rest myself. their factory fletchings have a tendancy to hit off my rest on the way out. they have a little too much twist for my setup, so i use an Arizona EZ fletcher to put 1 degree on mine. i lose a little spin in the air, but at least they ain't kicking off my rest. speaking of this reminds me that i need to find a drop away that i like sometime. i'm lucky to have a mom and pops gun & archery store two doors over from me, where customer service includes being invited over for a BBQ. :D
