i just got my 13 its a 4x4 double cab trd and on the first tank of gas i got 18.7 MPG that is lots of city and some hwy. but i was driving it different being I'm breaking the motor in, so i could see 20+ very easily for mine. i do live in a flat area too so this may help

Thinking of driving to California , truck will have less than 1000 miles , Does the taco benefit from this oil ? MPG increase ?

No engine break in is required on these new trucks my friend.

Gas milage seems to fluctuate after the first 1k miles. From what i have read on tw from other members is that you get somewhat crappy milage until 1k and then it goes up a bit.

I use syn mobile 1 and i get good milage.
It is all about tire air pressure, and the amount of skinny pedal pressure.
If you want good milage, drive it like an old man, not like you stole it

I've seen anywhere from 13.6 to 22 on a tank of gas with the v6. Had a 2011 access cab and got better mileage with that over the 13 DCSB.

ok not breaking in the engine I'm sure it was well before it left the factory but for arguments sake i said engine. i was meant going by the manual to fluctuate speeds and things like that for the first few hundred miles. as well as no excessive speeds an hard starts.

I would drive it like you would normally drive it. The factory "breaks in" the engine befor they ship it out. If you drive it 90mph everywhere than thats how i would do it

    Too many to list now.
13.4 up here, but that's lots of warm up time to then driving it like I stole it. :D
