Hey guys, I installed billy's on all four corners with a 1.5 AAL in the rear. I had my fronts set at 2.5 and it looked level. Set at 2.5, I had vibration issues and when turning, the CV joints made some minor sounds. I drove my truck like this for a month or two. Had an alignment done the day after I installed them.
I finally had enough of the vibration and changed the settings to 1.75 last night. Took it for a drive today and the vibration and CV issues are 95% gone.
Didnt lose to much height in the front but I still looks better than stock. The drop down made the ride alittle softer and for the vibrations issues, a pretty good trade off...

Can we see a pic? I and others are thinking about this set up. What are your front and rear mesurements?

I dont think Im going to be able to post a pic but I will take a tape out and see what the numbers are now. I know before with the 2.5, the front was around 36 3/4 across the cap to the fender...

    I will take a look.

5100's all around, fronts at 1.75". TSB leaf pack + Toytec TSB AAL
See, this is exactly what I want to avoid. I really appreciate the information from Racer78 too... If I set the billys to 1.75 and I still had some sort of vibration, I'd probably bring it back down to stock - unfortunately. At this point I'm just not willing to risk any additional wear for a couple inches of lift. Even a 1.5" lift that doesn't give vibes or anything will probably increase wear (at least I'm sure someone out there will argue that it does), but throwing vibes into the mix, its got to. I guess there is no way to know for sure what the outcome will be until it is actually done though.

Maybe I'll just do all 4 corners with the Billy 5100s and skip the AAL for now.

Hopefully the pic works... So, I have taken these numbers over the centre caps to the bottom of the plastic fender

    Front 36 3/8 (Was 36 13/16 @ 2.5)

    Rear 38 3/8

All though there is a 2" differance from the front to the back, the fender curve is not the same. The pic looks like its going to suck but I dont know how to make it bigger? Also, my driveway is on a downhill...

    Hope this helps guys!

Hey racer I think it looks good like that it is 2" dif. Mine was 2.5" before 5100s now I'm .75" dif with fronts at 1.75" .The aal means you can haul stuff with out it looking stupid .(nose up) I'm leaving mine alone for now it looks good. But I will keep a close eye on it when I haul and if it bothers me I might add an aal. The extra hight Is what I was after, for clearance ,and the 5100s ride so much better I dont think any one would have regrets with them at 1.75" No vibs or problems here.:D

Is it the AAL or the front 5100's that cause the vibration issues?

Like you, I would rather forgo any lift if I'll have vibrations or additional wear. I originally thought this was the safest route to go but I guess it still comes with problems. The research continues...

For me, the 5100's won't offer much improvement because I already have Bilstein shocks that came stock on my TRD Sport.

What other changes did you make? I see a lot of other things in your profile (coilovers, diff drop, etc).

Did you just have the 5100's or an aal as well?
