Tabs don't look to bad, especially for your describing. Spindles might be bent, hard to tell from pictures. Steering rack not loose or leaking anywhere?

    ...too much shit to list.
Means you either knocked the alignment out or bent something.
Did you happen to paint pen or score your alignment tabs to see if they moved?

they were when i had the 6" lift but when i went down to the new kit when they did my alignment it looks like the marks were covered up, i plan on taking it to get an alignment locally anyway once i lower the front a little bit

So i ordered the TC cam tab gussets off of poly performance. and on the order confirmation and everything it says i ordered 96+ toyota tacoma cam tabs, and they sent me the 05+ tacoma ones. The guy i emailed back said they wont have the 96+ until january. Does anyone know if the cam tabs are the exact same either way so i can just use these instead? btw i have an 01 tacoma

    NoFords,

Your cams don't look bad, mine are way worse and not causing issues. I'd take a close look at the rack.

Jack the front end up and have someone turn from lock to lock while you observe, you should be able to find the problem from there. Try it with the truck on and the truck off.

Thanks going out here in a little to start looking at it better

Okay guys i just played around with it for a little

*Jacked up the truck goes from full lock to full lock smoothly and no binding or movement(play) in steering rack.
*Truck turned on and running jacked up its a fairly smooth transition
*Took Max's advice and locked and unlocked 4wd a few times and made sure to crank the wheel after transitions

i'm thinking maybe a ball joint was bound and alignment is off, the truck is noticeably better this morning. i also checked fluid levels and levels look good to me as well

one word of advice to all of you that still use those stock alignment cams, when you get your alignment done, tack them in place. just a small one that can easily be ground away, but it helps prevent shit like this from happening.... if you have something further restraining those parts from moving, they dont end up destroying your tabs and shit on hard hits..... lesson learned aye?

    Lots of expensive shit
No. The 05+ has a 14mm bolt on the rear. The 96 have 19mm on both holes for the sleeve that goes through

Both will achieve relatively the same job of keeping things in alignment,

Although with Solid Mounting the Lowers you'll need Heims on your UCA for alignment, where as just tacking the Cams you'll be able to grind off the tacks and re-align it if necessary without the need for Heims.

Duck man answered your question. You can solid mount the lowers but you will have to heim the uppers for adjustment.

Couple shocks, some old tires, and a bad paint job
An improper suspension install or setup would allow that to happen and you would see a lot of angry customers.
