Joints at both ends are fine as long as the panhard is a straight link. If your panhard has any bends/etc. You usually run a bushing at one end to ensure it stays oriented correctly...doesnt flop over.

If you are running links you may re-consider. So much more uptravel when the bars are bent to go around the oil pan. I hardly have any uptravel, it sucks. (My uptravel is limited by my ram hitting the pan though)

Well I'll cross that bridge when I go to it. It's all still up in the air on how I'm going to set the links up. I guess I won't know until I cut it all out and start mocking up :D

Yeah, you wont really know until you get into it. Mine turned out pretty good but we did make a lot of changes even before we finished it. we didn't have to make any bends and it has a ton of up travel without hitting anything but I do want to make the panhard bar a bit longer next time around.

Wyatt, your truck is sky high too. What is your frame to ground measurement? I know your height hasn't held you back at all but that's probably why your panhard doesn't have any bends in it.

How does the ram hit the oil pan? Your axle must not be very far forward if that's the case.

His geometry is identical to mine and works very well.

No. It just looks like it's sky high because of the fiber glass fenders.

Bottom of the frame to ground at the front body mount is 26.5" A lot lower than some guys on 35's and 37's and I'm sitting on 41's too so I have to tuck that huge tire into my wheel well.

Here is a picture of my truck and Dans side by side. His is on 36's and mine at the time was on 40's. The second gen is a bigger truck but if you were to take that into consideration, my truck is not that much higher than his. Plus I have the fiber glass fenders and it makes the truck look even bigger. My truck is actually wider, outside tire to outside tire than it is tall. Top of the roof to the ground is 82" and the width from the outside of the tires is 86". It's a very stable truck.

It doesn't hit the sump, if it were to hit it would hit the very tip. The axle is 3" forward.. maybe 2.5". There is photos of it in my thread you were following!

Awesome! What did you mean by "The first gen is a bigger truck"? I always thought second gens were bigger than first gens.

Yup thats it. if you look at the way it broke the amount of twist on those splines. im gonna blame it on the arb's spline depth. still shouldnt break but what ever it's now added to the spare parts list for moab.
