    trying to decide how i should configure my trailer project. i want a lid that lifts like a glass tonneau cover with some kind of assist struts. going to work something on the back end that is like a flap down table (ive seen some on hc rear bumper builds). also is going to have an rtt on the top of the lid and must be sealed so that no water gets in (within a reasonable amount). any suggestions?

    Well took the truck offroad for the first time since I have owned it. Must say, even for being a prerunner, I was very impressed. Made it through a couple holes that had some water coming through the door. Only managed to bury myself once. Even made it through some areas that my buddies 4x4 bronco couldn't! :cool:

    exactly why to buy a taco, even 2wd is better than a 4x4 chevy,ford,gmc, etc.

    Hell yeah! I surprised a few people today with the taco though. It definitely surpassed any expectations I had of it. I even was in so deep that I had water coming through the bottom of my doors and still made it through like a champ.

    I really was kicking my ass today even harder for not getting a TRD OR. The damn skewp got me!

    To keep it waterproof, put some double walled wather stripping around the lid. You will also need to make sure the lid goes over the edge and drops down over the edge as well. You can go to the undercover tanneau cover site to get the weather stripping as well as the struts for the lid. As for the flap down table, why not just use a tail gate?

    picked up a 14' jon boat yesterday near warrenton. my uncle and i are going to put platforms in it with some pedestal seats. on a side note all i need now is some dakars, spidertrax and to order tires from treadwright. also hoping to start this trailer project in a few weeks :D
