well for the most part both sides up front suspension wise is complete... now just need to get the engine cage in and tied into cab so i can build the shock mounts...

anyone by chance have the stock steering arms off of a pickup 4x spindles that you dont need any more? i have a bit of a need for the passenger side (would like both sides if at all possible). please pm me and we can work out something.

    Looking good.

Just curious as to how much extra room you gain from using the J-Arms?

None really in this instance. Standard arms weren't giving me the numbers I wanted. Only other way was mounting j arms on side of frame with the 4x spindles.

Sounds like a plan! Have some things I'm already wanting to change like the upper arm connection to the spindle. We will see if it ever touches the darn road at this rate.

re-did the uppers again... kept vertical uni but changed it around again... i like this more.. less travel overall but way cleaner cycle.

Nice! Any plans to tie the two tubes together with a gusset or gonna rely on the strength of the bolt through the uniball to hold everything together?

I wanted to call you earlier. I was down off Lyons valley in your neck of the woods. The gate to pancake rock near Barrett honor camp was open. I wanted to go in there badly but thought wiser. I thought maybe with a co-pilot. The road was like a flowin mud river all rutted to shit. pretty damn vertical too and was almost white from the hail coming down. I know it gets a bit sideways toward the top so I passed on it, with all that snotty mud I can imagine it would have been quite a challenge to keep it from going off the cliffs.

well thanks guys! my name is nick and yes i do plan on tying the tubes together. that was what i got done today and was able to get a few pictures in. both sides arms are mocked so i should be able to gusset and ill be happy. still have to place in the rest of the tabs for the uppers to the frame and figure a way to brace the hell out of them.

tyler, you and i are going to have to go out on a "test run" with both trucks when this thing is done... im sure we can find somewhere close by (i remember a few canyon entrances in poway from a few years back). if we can still get in, we are gunna have to slide this thing around a bit....

well i ended up cutting out the dash bar and re-doing the cab cage as i wasnt satisfied with how it looked. the front end on both sides is tacked up and cycling well. it looks like ill have about 15 inches bumped and strapped at front end and im ok with that. ill strap the rear at about 25 or so and call it good.
