youre not taking into account benefits. and youve already said its going to be expensive. gov said they would help. we get it that you dont want schools to be safe, youve made that clear.

Surely there is something in that 38 billion that is less important than the safety of children, that could be cut in order too pay for one armed guard per school.

That is if it would actually help.

I think the question that needs too be asked is, "will it make things worse?". I don't see how it could make things worse. So maybe its worth a try.

Armed as in armed teachers, than no. Armed is in actual police officers, then it surely wouldn't hurt. I'd much rather have an actual officer, deputy, whatever acting in the event something happens than a bunch of CCW teachers pulling out guns.

My high school had one of our local police permanently stationed there in a resource officer role. Only school in the district that has it though. We also have 2 middle schools and 5 elementary schools that would need officers. Obviously a lot of school have these types of officers so it's not like its a new radical idea. Obviously we never had a shooting or anything like that, but once he was there it seemed to at least to extent stop some of the other nonsense that kids would start.

    -can't cure crazy
-can't incarcerate crazy until after an act of crazy

and...in the New Town example, "money towards accessible mental heath practitioners"...was not an issue.
