The stock rims you had powder coated; did you have the center cap done as well? I want to do the same to mine, but I think the plastic won't handle the heat. I'm going to settle for painting the caps or just keeping them off.

subbed, never checked out ur truck build but it looked good. I am pretty jelly about the rex (wrx) purchase. my buddy has an '11 with short throw shifter, cat back exhaust, and navigation screen. Its sick! he got a deal on a cobb access port and down pipe but wont do it yet for warrenty purposes.. :( they are amazing stock, cant imagine how badass it will, be if he ever does it.

livin the dream early man, congrats. any good forums for your new beast?

Thank you my man! The more research i do, the more my mods change. I don't really know if i want to go stage 2 now. Maybe just Nameless Performance axel-back and cobb RAM air (as far as "performance" goes right now), still a while out on that though.

Currently I'm on NASIOC, it's..... an interesting forum. A lot of activity, but a lot of dicks too. I was also looking at iwsti, and socalsubies.

I'm at... like 750 ish miles on it now (my work is so far :( ). A lot of people that i see that talk about the "break in period" online and stuff actually say that a variation of high and low revs is preferable, i guess it creates a tighter seal with the piston rings to the cylinder walls. But im still taking it easy. Haven't gone above 80mph or 5k RPM. I generally keep it below 3500 rpm. But i open the throttle every once in a while. I guess that "break in" is quite the controversial subject online. Some say keep it under 3k rpms, some say make sure that rpm gauge is getting a work out. But yeah. lol :)

I know, hahaha! I feel like I've been driving it a lot, and the turbo isn't very friendly on gas. I can get about 230-240 miles on the tank before I have to fill up. And that's about every 3-4 days (at the rate I'm driving). But I'm still having fun with it, so my mileage will improve. BUT it only cost me $50 to fill my tank :D

If I go for a drive, I can suck the tank dry just heading over to the beach. If I baby it, 20mpg is about all I get. The average has to be 10-11mpg.

Does the Subi have any break-in limits that are flashed on the first service? Like rev limiter settings?

    neglect, mostly.
question jake - your mods-to-be list on the OP for the new ride lists "front license plate delete". what does that mean? we don't have to run front plates here, but i thought you did in your state. . you just gonna be rolling around as a criminal, or is there something im not catching on to?

Hahaha, well this is a front license plate delete:

Basically just fills the ugly holes and slots with something a little more attractive. I have never gotten pulled over for no plate. Our family friend is on sheriff bomb squad and he said 99% of cops don't care, and if they do then they're dicks. hahaha I've never had a problem with it, in the past few years. But maybe i will have a problem now so cops have an excuse to pull over my wrx

    Thank you!

got my mud flaps last week, they took TWO FUCKING HOURS to install. Really hard without taking the weel off. But i finished it. I also did it at like 1130 pm. they look great though i think.

Next paycheck will accompany ordering my Epic Lowering Springs. They get insanely good reviews. itll drop it 1.2"... Significantly lower, but still functional..

After that, hopefully will be sway bars. THEN i will probably take a break for a while, save up and do wheels and tires. I dont know yet though. Im sure i will do little things here and there though. Oh, also i want to upgrade the struts.
