Here is the truck, so do I spend xmas money on Side Steps (black Toyota brand) or a bed cover (roll-up)?

I like the side steps if for no other reason than they can prevent some parking lot door dings, the idea being someone's door flying open should hit the side step and not dent our trucks! On the other hand, I get alot of snow where i'm at so a bed cover is really nice to have as well. I ended up buying both the first week I had my truck but not from the dealer, much better deals to be had elsewhere!

I would go with oem running boards, better than tubes. I bought the black oem tubes on ebay new for 200.00 shipped. they are nice just prefer running boards.

Do you haul cargo in the bed you need to keep dry? If so, I'd buy the bed cover. If not, I'd buy the side steps or spend a few more dollars and pick up a set of sliders.

Go with the cover, unless you plan on lifting the truck.
    Otherwise the bars aren't necessary.

I'm actually going to be taking my steps off after only a couple weeks, I like the look but they are more annoying in day to day use than helpful. On the other hand I can't imagine what I'd do without my bed cover, I will never NOT have one.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I have the black running boards for a DCSB I would be willing to part with. May be about a month until I get them off the truck (sliders coming) but let me know. I'll take pictures if interested.

I vote cover, not really a fan of the stock steps. If you need steps, I say the n-fabs like mentioned before.

    +1

I have both. OEM nerfs and an Access Limited roll-up cover. The cover is my #1 favorite and most practical item.

I find the bars are a hinderance while getting out of the truck.

    Where is teh Poll?

I would do the bars , some shorter people have a harder time getting in my truck and they drag ass as they rotate in the seat once they get in

I got them at the same time from Truckaddons.com. It's the Extang Solid Fold and I have to say I'm pretty happy with it. Also got the weathertechs, bugshield and vent visors. Keep visiting and you'll be spending lots of $'s.

The stock steps are so close to the body of the truck there awkward to use..that being said I have them on my truck cause I like how they look plus the door ding protection factor..
