Absolute perfection IMO. I'm originally from Aberdeen, SD (26,000) and now live in Lincoln, NE (260,000), so I'm looking forward to country living.

I have to say that music threw me for a loop when matched with that scenery haha

Thanks again guys, really looking forward to coming out there (hoping on this summer) to check places out.

Nothing official yet  we have to wait to see how the snow fall goes and how fast it melts as all 4 trails hit 10000 feet haha

Ill be sure to let you know tho.

Will be like mid July at the earliest and mid August at the latest.

It's a bit of a drive for me but I really do want to check out the area sometime. PM when an official thread starts so I can lurk.

I was checking annual temps and precipitation and everything and it seems to be pretty decent weather year around. We have a nasty cold front that comes down from the great white north here in Aberdeen, SD so anything above zero seems nice to me in the winter months ha

I won't clog up this thread too much haha but thanks so much for the input guys. It really helps me narrow my searching. Hope to be out that way sometime, maybe even for this meet

And yea man I will pm you. Winters aren't mild by any means. The wind in WY is what makes it suck sometimes haha

Mountains/tree lines don't help any eh? We're used to that here in SD. Flat and desolate on the east side of the state.

Meh, summers are cooler and winters are warmer than previous places I've lived. I'm stoked about it. Now I need to start searching around and deciding between building or buying and fixing up. I was hoping to build a home and settle in, but the more I look at the low costs there, buying and fixing up may be quite a bit cheaper.

I like cold and snow so it's all normal for me besides the high wind now and then.

Standard Dakars aren't that stiff they are actually pretty close to OEM. With the AAL they are much stiffer for weight.

If your planning on slider a rear plate bumper and gear I'd still stay with the Dakars.

All about clearance. I did a trail in lander and I have 33s and 3"+ up front and like 4.5-5" out back and was stiff bouncing off stuff. My buddy on 35s didn't.

In Moab on a tame trail I didn't touch anything and he was on 2" lift and 32s and hit stuff.

Really depends on what you do with it though. I'm not regeared..I'm a v6 tho. But my buddy had 33x12.5s on his 4banger. Didn't seem to mind.

But if you start getting into it before you know it you'll get bit hard by the bug haha then you'll just wish you had gone 33s. Happened to me and pretty much everyone haha

But again. Depends on what you plan on doing with it. If you come to the WY Meet this summer you'll do fine on most of it other then the lander trails. Then you drag all over.

But if you just doing light stuff and don't plan on going harder. Then yea, stay mild.

All up to you..I'm just trying t save you money in the long run..but that's only if you get hooked on wheeling haha

I'd just go 3" and 33s, you'll be fine without regearing.

Yea will be easy as shit to get rid of 33s haha

And overland!! Sweet me too...well..mine is like hybrid overland/trail truck..or s I like to think

RTT is BAD ASS. love it. Hopefully you can see it in person sometime cause its really nice.

If a RTT is in your list of future mods..definitely stick with the Dakars haha
