Later Bruins. I didn't expect the Canes to make it this far.

The two lower rated teams quiet home crowds in game 7...I love it!

The Bruins stadium is above the train station and the final train leaves at midnight. The game went into overtime and, after spending what they did on seats, no one was leaving early to catch the train. Instead, they stuck around to watch the number 1 team in the east get knocked out of the playoffs AND missed their train! BURN!!!

Pens / Canes should be a good matchup. Wonder who Cowher will root for???

I really don't want to see the Red Wings in the finals again.
    Let's Go Pens...let's go blackhawks!

It's gonna be a tough series all right.

Hawks are 2-4 against Detroit and I don't think the 'Wings were trying all that hard for the last 2 games of the season.
They are coming off of a hard series against the Ducks though. Hope they ran 'em ragged!
Would be nice to see the "new" generation of players battle it out for the Cup!

    Go Blackhawks!!!!!

    Anybody got tickets?

Hell yeah man! Although I must say the Ducks had one hell of year, I didn't expect them to beat San Jose.

After a sorry performance at home for game 6, I thought the Canes were in serious trouble. What a resilient team. Now we got The Kid and Malkin to contend with. Hopefully, the oldest Staal can prevail. GO CANES!!!!!

    It's just 1 game.
Detroit is a great team but I think the 'Hawks will come back and give them a good fight!

If there were any west teams, to rout for. I mean maybe my geography is a little off compared to the league, but I'm pretty sure Chicago and Detroit are both much closer to the East coast then the West.

As for Sidney Crosby, I bet if you ask any GM in the league if they could have any player to build there hockey club around, number 1 would be Sidney, offensively he is a genius, his team game is excellent, and his defensive game will only improve as he matures in the league.

He was referring to rooting for the pen's angainst the duck's (if it had come down to that). He would root for the pen's because he "Can't root for a west team".

Sorry but I don't think it has to do with geography at all. Pens are in the Eastern Conference and Red Wings / Ducks are in the Western Conference.

Pdopy is a crapital fan and, like myself, could not root for a western conference name. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh, and LET'S GO PENS! One down - four to go!

Could the EAST and WEST both sweep for a Stanley Cup rematch!!!

I wouldn't mind taking another shot at the Red Wings.

    And yes...GENO IS AWESOME!!!

Sorry guys, I dropped the ball on that one.

Too bad Detroit couldn't pull off the come back on those punks. I wonder what's up with Khabibulin? Not a very good time to loose your starting goalie!

Sorry, I'm a latecomer to this thread but surely not a band-wagon jumper. Mainly because I bleed black and gold.

    Let's go Pens!!!

    Pens are looking GOOD!

Though it would be great to sweep, it looks like that would give us a long break between series'. We're on a roll and a break would not help our momentum.

How shitty is Hossa gonna feel when the Pens are holding that cup above their heads! LET'S GO PENS!!!
