I just upgraded the stereo in my 2009 access cab. I am impressed with what I went with she rocks.

    Alpine CDA-105
    Rockford punch 600 AMP
JL 10 inch sub installed in custom enclosure rapped in vynl to match the interior. The amp is pushing the the Sub and the Alpine deck is pushing the factory door speakers which sound good considering they are factory. Skynyrd sounds awesome in the Tacoma.

Good job.....I did simular in my 07.....

    Kenwood head unit stock speakers...

Did a Rockford Fosgate amp Punch 500

Dual Voice Coil 500 watt 12 " Rockford Sub....

No need to upgrade stock steakers with aftermarket head unit (stock speakers do great highs and mids.. and with a big sub (almost too much bass in Access Cab).

that looks pimp. i'd ask you to make me one, but the 06's back seat wouldn't work with that.

hi I just bought the 09 access cab I was wondering if that unit you put in is still controled ny the sterring wheel and does the ipod input jack still work with the radio? As the stock radio sucks the volume is way to low...

Step bars, billet grill with custom TOYOTA, MB Quart RSI 216 components, Hifonics ZXi 4410, RAAMmat deadened doors/back wall/roof covered with ensolite , 24" Magnaflow muffler, hand polished stock exhaust tip, tinted, OEM TRD Bilstiens all around with 1/4" spacers up front to level it out. Sport wheels added.

That'll depend on whether he has that particular option. I think the CDA 105 is a pretty basic unit if I remember correctly...so I wouldn't think it would have that option for steering wheel controls. dunno Same goes for the input jack. Most decks these days come with it's own input jack or ipod input and would bypass the factory one.

Stock 4x SR5 tow package cool rear speakers
    Hey Jerry.

I got a question for ya. I am in the same boat it seems as every other 09 access cab owner not at all happy with the rear "speakers".

I am in the planning stages of an up grade and first want to try to just add a REAL set of speakers to the access doors in the "stock location".
Where are the speaker wires running to the stock headliner speakers and where would be the best place to start the rerout to the access doors? My hope is that they run to the rear quarter panel and not up the a piller

    Thanks man
    Steve

    Hey Jerry,

I just bought my 09 access yesterday, and I'm already thinking about putting a sub in the back. How hard was it to remove that storage bin where you put your sub?

The eclipse 7200 Mk II lets you use your steering wheel volume control. The eclipse website offers software you can download and upload to the HU. For $550 it's out of most people's price range.
