WOW! SICK build! I love your truck!!! I love the stance sitting on 35's! I take it you are not running any inner fenders up front? How much chopping inside the fenderwells did fitting the 35's entail? (beyond the obvious outer portion that can be seen in your pics) Did you have to chop out much from the cab? (for want of a better way to describe, just in front of the deadpedal on driver's side and corresponding area on passenger side) What about the frame's cab mount in that area? I'm guessing the fronts were a LOT of work to fit! How bad were the rear fenders? Sorry for all the questions, just loving the look!!! (and loving those wheels too!!!!!)

You're right about the fender liners, those are gone. I haven't chipped any of the inner fenders yet. At full compression the tires are rubbing the fenders. I do plan on eventually tubbing them. The cab mount has been cut and plated as far back as it can be done. I don't rub on those anymore. The rears were easy compared to the fronts. Just removing the inner plastic liners, and cutting the fenders and flares back like I did in the front.

I wanted to keep the truck as low as possible to fit the 35's.

Sure did. I spent 4 days camping around the island. 1st night up in Haleakala, 2nd night on the western coast and third night out at the seven sacred falls campground area.

This picture was taken driving up the narrow winding roads on the north western corner of the island going from Kapalua to Kahului.

Money pit, yea you could call it that. I could have bought a second tacoma with the money I have put into this thing so far. Only about half way there though. Little turbo diesel is the next big step.

So on your flares, there is no lower attachment point, you are strictly using the plastic clips correct?

I thought about this but wasn't sure if it would be a little to floppy. Seems to be working ok though yes?

Now that you have done it would you still go that route vs just buying glass?

No lower attachment points. Just using plastic clips and the foam pads that are on the stock flares. Yea, they are flimsy at the bottom but I don't have any issues with it.

If I had to do it again, I would still go this route but finish up the flares like a few others have done. For now, I am very pleased with how they turned out.

Cool thanks, just debating on what route I want to go. Glass vs. Cut.

I have a dorkel so that is one of the reasons I did not go with glass. Plus this was cheaper and less time consuming.

Soon! Soon! I did go and explore a couple trails yesterday but didn't take any pictures. I am heading out on a test run of my new navigation setup this week. Pictures will come then.
