Wow, not even a quarter tank of gas! And yes, my relatives made their travel plans a few weeks in advance, I guess the price would have been a lot higher if they waited. I used to have to fly to Baltimore twice a month on business, the flights were 29 bucks each way. It ended up being a shorter work day than if I went to the plant in Worcester!

I was just on another forum I spend time on and typed out a long post. Somehow it got lost.:pout:

That was just a promo. Jet Blue is just now starting to fly out of Philly.

Yeeehaaaaaa for more competition and lower prices. If/when I fly I go out of the cheapest airport and I have a ton close by so I have flown out of: PHL, AC, BWI, and JFK. Flying out of JFK to Alberta Canada saved me hundreds of dollars and at the same time was a direct flight. Air Canada is very nice compared to it's US counterparts.

Anybody familiar with Kindles? Is it normal to have to keep hitting "buy this book" on the touchscreen like a crackhead with parkinsons? i've tried different wi fi connections and the damn thing just sits there unless you just keep tapping the screen repetitively for 2 or 3 minutes.... :annoyed:

My coworker and his wife live by them, but he is smart so he's at home with his family.

Mine doesn't do that, but it's probably about three years old now. I guess newer isn't always better. Jodi just got a new laptop with Windows 8 and has had lots of problems with it.

    this does me no good!

i don't know if i'm doing something wrong or if there is something wrong with it...which if thats the case i need to know so i can exchange it

Kindle Fire - 2nd gen. I'm hooked up to the wifi here at work and i can surf the web and such so i know its connected. i can search for books just fine but if i want to select a book to get the summary or to download a book its like its not responding. tap once and wait, nothing. tap repetitively for a few minutes and it will finally advance to the next screen (for the summary) or when it does download I get an error message saying the file is too large but its not and a few seconds later its finished downloading :notsure:

I have the first gen and never had an issue with it...(note the pattern here)
You may have to adjust sensitivity in the options (if it's available to do so)

    ...or there's this guy
