Let him go to cleveland and fuck up and then we can offer him a bunch of money down here. I am more than willing to make a deal with the devil to get a couple more titles to hang on the stadium.

 

If Dan Mullen had half of the talented players on y'all's roster, we could have won a few more games.

 

Looks like Auburn has hired one of MSUs asst. coaches. A DB coach, Melvin Smith. Lord knows the DB play has been horrid since Tubby left.

 

I've got mixed emotions about this. We have had some great defensive backs, but the past two years they have sucked and been unable to tackle. He has developed a Thorpe winner though.

 

Just had this tweeted a couple hours ago, "sounds" impressive, who knows.
So far, Gus has hired one from Clemson, one from Georgia and one from State, and Ellis Johnson, after a terrible year at Sorthern Miss.

Auburn's 4 defense coaches - Ellis Johnson, Charlie Harbison, Rodney Garner, Melvin Smith - have 98 college coach yrs experience. 68 in SEC.

 

Interesting. My concerns would be that Malzahn doesn't have much experience as a head coach and the programs he has been around have bad a few discipline problems here and there. Ark State was already good because of Hugh Freeze, Chizik could have maintained that success for them for a year.

He's our run stopper up the middle. Everyone knows Martinez can't throw the ball. Rex Burkhead and Martinez just got a huge gift by not having to deal with Big Jon Jenkins.

 

Yeah, as long as they "get up for it".

 

This is our major bowl problem too.

 

I'm more so talking after being so close to the big dance and now playing in just another bowl game.
