Not going to beat it up just going to cook is slow for like 1 1/5 hours. That should get it nice and tender, we will see.

Here is the octopus after being in the pot for like 20 minutes.

About an hour to go. The head really swelled up and almost popped so I flipped it over. I hope it comes out ok. The Osso Bucco is already done so I am going to bring the octopus out after we are already done eating. I hope that once our guest's see my 4 year old daughter eating they will try it and encourage their 4 year old daughter to eat it as well.

ok guys. deep fried hamburger info. i just did another one. had the fryer set at 375, and had it in for 5MIN. 375 is a little to high, inside is just about perfect but the out side is a little burnt/crispy. i think maybe lowering the temp and having it in a min or 2 longer it will be just right on the inside and the out.

yeah. next time i do one i’m going to set the temp at around 250 or 275. may take longer, but the inside may get cooked just a little more and the out side won’t be as cooked.

edit: i been hungry all day long. first think i eat was a bacon cheese burger at five guys and just about all my fries and a drink. than came home and cooked a pizza, than had a snack like 30 min later, which lead to me taking a nap. than i had a deep fried hamburger, some cinnamon bread that some one my dad use to work with brought us for christmas. also have had 2 PB&J sandwiches.

Well it was on the stove, cooking for just over 1 1/2 hours. I shut it off since we were eating and just let it rest in the fluid with the lid on. Here is the pic before I removed it and sliced it up. As you see there is a lot of fluid from the tomatoes and onions and even some from the octopus itself. There is no added fluid, no wine, no stock.

Here it is sliced and plated as you see there is a lot of fluid. It made a nice stock.

Everyone did like the octopus btw. I gave everyone a couple of pieces octopus with the tomatoes and onions. And everyone actually said that they would eat it again but still wouldnt order it. That is the 2 things I ask people is 1- would they order it on a restaurant menu? 2= would they make it at home?

In this case, they were both no.... but let's be honest.... it was octopus:D kind of expected it.

In the slow cooker now because I worked late tonight and yesterday (I also work tomorrow/rest of the week): 2 small pork tenderloins, a bag of TJ's fire-roasted peppers n onions, a jar of fire-roasted chiles, 1.5 cups chicken broth, and a can of fire-roasted diced tomatoes:

Both those breakfasts look soooooo good!!

I shredded those pork tenderloins I did in the slow cooker and had it with the roasted onions/peppers/chiles and a bunch of BBQ sauce. Yum. The BBQ sauce made it, otherwise it was "meh" IMO.

I bought a lodge 12" cast iron pan yesterday. I am going to make an omelet today with carmelized onions, sausage, and apples with monterrey cheese. I had it a a little breakfast place and it was so good, so I figured why not try to make it. I hope it tastes the same, pics to follow.
