Just tested them in the snow last weekend. One word Awesome! Other people were slipsliding away and I carried on no problem. Some areas it was snow on top of ice just walking was tough but the Duratracs gripped better than any other tire I've had before.

Im no expert but with those specs, 275s, and your lift i would think trimming would be very minimal. Probably lose the mudflaps and a little trimming some plastic on the inside of the wheel wells.

just ordered these from discount tire direct, 1160 shipped. -60 dollar rebate, and 4% cash back through a coupon company (-46.4) for 285/70/17 size. so.. about 1053.60. they are load range D

i noticed y'all seem to have load range E tires.. im guessing they just came out or recently came out with the D load range for this size.

should help with mpg, weight, and comfort over the E loads.

mounting them on a new set of wheels from fuel when they come in. 17x9, 4.5BS, -12mm offset

pictures and reviews after i get them on after the new year

Thats a good price. I paid almost $100 more. I bought the same exact tires. The d load range definatley stiffens up the ride compared to the stock tires. They arnt as loud as i expected them to be which is nice.

    285/75/16 = E
    285/70/17 = D

Just depends on the rim size.

3" ToyTec ULK, rear Dakars, Light Racing UCAs. With the 9" wide rim, I'm going to have to do the body mount chop. I think if you went with an 8" rim, you'd be better off. I did trim the flares when I had the stock Sport rim (7"?) with 1.25" spacers. Minimal rubbing then.

    Good luck with yours!

    BTW...MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Roger, I don't mind doing the BMC, or plastic trimming. I was expecting to do it anyway

    I couldn't find a wheel style I liked that had a 17x8 dimension

    Thanks or your input

A question for those that have the duratracs, specifically with load C. I've been looking at getting the 265/75/16, but have read a lot of reviews on tire rack that they feel like they sway or feel loose when turning at higher speeds. Has anyone here experienced this or anything negative with the handling at higher speeds as compared to the factory tires.

I currently still have the factory BFGoodrich Rugged Trail 265/70/16 with 40k miles and they are in need of changing. They have been pretty decent, handled well, but not the best in snow.

Any input from you guys positive or negative about the duratracs will be appreciated. I did read most of those posts on here but but didn't see much about handling characteristics of the tires at highway speeds, which I will be doing a fair amount of.
