My brother is running 37s on a SAS 1st gen with 4.88s and an ARB and he loves it. I have 4.88s with 35s on a SAS 1st gen and love it as well. My RPM's are around 2500 doing between 60-65 (speedo is off) his is around 2300. Your 4.0 with a 6 speed should be a nice set up for the road.

I didn't see any stupid posts, just one where he was kind of a jerk to you and then it was all down hill from there.

Stupid posts would be calling for 5.29s after I posted they won't fit the front clamshell.

Add to that a whole lot of other misunderstandings in this thread.

You have the auto tranny right?

    At 70mph with 33's and 4.56's: 2340rpm
    At 70mph with 33's and 4.88's: 2504rpm

    At 70mph with 35's and 4.56's: 2206rpm
    At 70mph with 35's and 4.88's: 2361rpm

    I used this calculator: http://www.grimmjeeper.com/gears.html

Yeah. The 6spd manual has like a .85 or .86 OD and the 5spd auto has a .716 OD. A manual with 4.88's runs over 3000 rpm on the freeway.

    Yeah about that.
I have 33's and 4.88's on my auto and I run about 2730rpm at 75mph. Calculator says I should run about 2668rpm. So they will be slightly off.

Man..I can never decide between. 4:56 and 4:88....

I need a definitive answer from someone with V6, 35s, 4:88s, auto tranny, and what their rpm is at when they are travelling 70 mph. Not what the speedo says(it'll be off unless they've had it recalibrated).

I'd like to sit no more than 2500 rpm at 70 mph.

If you weren't below 2500 you would be really close. I run just above 2700 with 33's, 4.88's, V6 w/auto, at 75mph that is gps speed not speedo speed.
