Was a fun drive in this morning!

 

This is only the second time this has ever happend. I did seal the concrete with a sealer but not a water sealer. I think another pump pit and some sealer might fix it. The hard part is going to be sealing the parameter of the slab where the water is coming from up under the floor.(the mason used that expansion foam shit.)

 

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that shouldn't be "sealed". That's where the water is supposed to go, into the perimeter drain and then to the sump pit. If it's coming up from there then your drain is clogged or the sump pump isn't working properly or able to keep up.

Yeah the mason never put piping in around the perimeter that is half my problem according to the perk test and the soil sample that the county did before I built the house said I was not required to have it, so the mason never put the piping in. He originally wasn't going to put the pit in but I had to asked him to. If I knew what I know now I would made him put the piping in and paid the extra money. Even if he would have suggested I would have done it. The last estimate I got to put the piping in was $9,000.00. It would have been a lot cheaper for him to do it before hand.
