Same here man! I love the look....small rims with big tires.

I here it's because the idiots who started the trend of 37" tires with 30" rims or whatever (you get my point) made it popular so they started charging more for the "look".

Just like low pro tires for cars. Same shit!

yea i never understood that either but i guess they probably have to put more steel bands in the side wall since there is less side wall? more steel bands to strengthen a smaller area?

    Awesome job on the thread,

Just bought a 2013 Tacoma and want to upgrade from the stock tires. Winter is upon us so I would be looking for something good in snow, moderate off road, but will mainly be driven highway as this is my main mode of transport for work. Come the weekend I am heading for the logging access roads though; don't worry I have a radio). Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys I am about to buy new tires and I was wanting some suggestions. I have a gen 1 with only 2 wheel drive. I drive on roads mostly so something that will keep my mpg decent but I need them to pull a 16 ft duck boat off wet steep boat ramps. I also go off road on occasion. I am more concerned about pulling the boat out than mpg but if there is a good combo I would like to know.

    Thanks.

What does anyone think about the looks and gas mileage of the bfgoodrich allterrain ko in 30/9.50R 15 or 31/10.50R 15 on 1998 tacoma 4x4 SR5 V6, getting ready to buy and not sure which size to go to I want the looks but don't want to lose my mileage I get with these 235 75R 15s.
