My 13 DC/LB has a shutter at takeoff. Under normal accelerating up to about 10mph when starting from stop. I also notice a "chug" or "skip" right at 40mph. I'm bringing it in to Toyota hopefully next week. Anybody have that?... Weird

    HahahHa yeah good effects!

I would say yes. Feels like on and off on the gas. Very slight, and it's only at that speed almost like a wheel is out of balance... It's a consistent " wub wub wub" haha

That vibe is so easily fixed. It's the engine lugging. Either put it in 4th gear or press the gas a little harder to get the rpms back up. It would be the same as leaving the 6 speed in too high a gear for the ground speed/terrain.

So I thought I would swing into my Toyota dealer today and show them the TSB.... For us in Canada this TSB is not out for the Canadian market yet... It's a USA market TSB. They dealer was cool about it though, he was glad I brought it and and wants to have my truck for a day as soon as I can leave it.

He said he can't act on the TSB because its not a Canadian market TSB.. But he can act on a customer complaint and with that TSB he can go to Toyota Canada and say here are the facts same issue and replace the parts..
We shall see when I can get it dropped off.

Where are you all finding this information? I looked online and on my Toyota Owners website and nothing comes up. Just curious where this info is posted.

That's a fix??.... Hahaha ooook. So I accelerate and decelerate constantly? It's a pain if your in a speed zone or behind Somone. It's def a shit point but still annoying. Shouldn't do it.

No, if you're annoyed by it, and behind a person going that speed, you push your gear selector over to 4 until you can get your speed up.

i dont disagree its annoying, but, its fixable. unlike some of these vibes we are having, namely the one this thread is about.:)

Shifting to manually manipulate the shift point isn't a fix

I have the issue described in this TSB. There's 1300 miles on my 2012 and it started when it hit 500 miles. I can drive it in ways that make it happen or not happen. Very easy to reproduce and it's gradually getting worse. 15 to 25 MPH driveline vibration felt through the whole truck including the steering wheel. Only while accelerating, and initially only when lugging a bit like after shifting to 2nd, but now even it 1st.

I was going to wait for the 5000 mile service to have them look at it but I think I'll take it in for this issue in the next week or two. Every time I feel it I see the YouTube videos of the rear driveshaft going nuts in my mind. :(

Michael, thanks for posting, man. I am taking my truck in this next week to get this done. Have you done any of these yet? If so, did it fix the problem?

I am going to wait to see if anyone has good results from the TSB before I have my truck checked out again.

I took it in for my first service last month, and to have them check the driveline vibration. Of course, they said the tech could not recreate it. They balanced the tires, checked the alignment, and sent me on my way.

I still have the vibration from 15-25 MPH. I will probably wait until April, when my next service comes up.
