all you have to do is push down the brake slightly more than "just enough" to get the truck to hold at a stop.

If you have the de-fog setting selected the AC runs.

"Keep in mind, most late model vehicles use the A/C system for Defrost Mode. That's because the air conditioning system is not just for cooling, it's also for dehumidifying."

I just took my truck in for this , they told me before the clunk /bump from the rear is normal . Then the advisor found a TSB that came out 12-21-12 for fixing this . It is a new driveshaft. I have the toyota extended warranty so they are gonna do it for free. They still have the truck, they had to order parts, Will get it back saturday.

Mysterious Toyota Lurch? Mine has done this since the day I drove it from the Dealer, in 2008. I believe it is just the Auto Trans, shifting to a lower gear. Slush box lag.....?

Got the truck back today. Feels way better . No more clunk when waiting at stop lights or taking off from a stop . It made the whole drive train feels tighter.

I've been saying the same thing ever since I've seen threads like this. Everybody keeps saying its the ac or heater but yet they still say in the same sentence that it happens when the fan isn't on or what have you. My moms 2000 jeep grand Cherokee with 4.7 does the same thing but since the car has 200,000 plus miles Øn the thing its a lot more noticeable ie loud thud along with the lurch.

If more than one person says its the driveshaft then let us know.
