Haha yeah. I use to care about power and stuff before but now I don't care how slow the dam thing is. As long as it can wheel and get me places, then I'm happy.

Look for the 4cyl with 4:30 gears. Mine has 4:30 and it's not underpowered at all imo. Plenty of power up hills on the highway. I rarely have to downshift, usually only when behind a slow truck or something.

 

Im just kidding, if it makes more sense to you then do it. It would probably be a smart move, i just sucks buying used vehicles when you don't know how the previous owner or owners treated it, and it might be hard to find a low mileage 1st gen.

 

There is one for sale across from the south eastern vocational school. I think it said low miles maybe 57K and 3400 bucks. I will check on my ride home fri

 

Mine had 85k on it when I bought it 2 months ago. I did a lot of searching to find it though

 

Oh wow!! That's sweet looking. I love the look. I wanted to look for one that's lifted slightly but idk. If I can get one, ill just out aal and billes. A 2inch and nice tires is all I need.

So you have the 4cyl too? I'll have to look. I kind of want the 4cyl. I've beem driving with David and he's had plenty of power for a 4cyl.

 

Yup same truck, his is black. Not sure if he has 4:10 or 4:30 though

 

It is smart. Instead of owning 15 on a truck, I would go down the owing only 5 or 6 which is much better in my ipionion. It deff is hard finding a low Millage one. I'm gonna have to get one with at least 80k or more. I wanna stay under 100k if I can. Will deff have to carfax it and stuff.

Yeah it deff takes times to fine the right one with good Millage. Gonna find one that had the frame replaced so it doesn't rust. I found 2 Tacoma today that were 02 and 03 and had 35 k and 40k on them from mass. They looked like new but wanted 19 for them . I wanna spend no more then 14k

 

I'm not sure too lol. I want 02 to 04, access cab 2.7. Wanna lift it like 1.5 to 2 and ill be all set. I don't wanna go 3 like I did with this truck. Just little higher to wheel with and look nice.

 

The one across from the school isnt gonna be in the same area as a 10K truck or the one John posted up

 

It's most likely 2wd at that price . Cheap money though .

I took out 5K on mine but it's paid off already

 

he will wind up in over 5k. no dealer is going to give him a deal while he still owes money on his current truck, and at his age... plus, the bank will tell him to GFY unless he puts a shitload of money down, AND only signs for a 24/mo loan... its not worth it to them to take a chance on a 10yo truck with 100k miles....
