OK, so how about we meet at 208 & Pine Grove Rd (B on the map) @ 10:30? That looks like it would also be easier for Jason.

I don't know what part of Reno you'd be going from, but it's 18 miles farther going through Carson than Fernley to get to Silver Springs.

I'm in very south Reno. Google tells me to take geiger it's an extra 12 miles to go through carson or something but it's like an extra 20 to go across on 80.

Turns out that going through VC to SS and then down is almost exact same as through smith valley and up. Going through Carson to SS tacks on quite a bit though and I'm not sure I want to go through VC. Then again, going through minden/gardnerville is slow as fuck.

Guess I may as well shoot across to SS and meet you all there.

not sure if I'll be able to make it. Looks like I may be getting sucked into going down to Auburn to my GF's grandparents place  I think it will depend on I80 whether we go, today we left the north bay to head back to reno at about 2:15 and didnt get home til 9:45 :annoyed: supposed to take 3 1/2- 4hrs usually with clear roads. Too many retard drivers on donner

If you do decide to go through Virginia City, I'd suggest taking Six Mile Canyon rather than 341 or 342. It drops you down into Mark Twain in the eastern side of Dayton Valley which saves miles plus lets you skip VC, Silver City and Dayton. The only problem with it might be ice, but I would think they'll have it cleared by Saturday.
