I'll be down to wrench on your rig! I installed my suspension a few weeks ago, 1st gen, but- I've got the basics down. Let us know when you get it in, and we'll get it on.

You too, it's been a few months in the making- I was going to go straight out there, but my bro bought a house in so-cal. I decided to swing out here for a few months, delaying my Austin arrival. I'm pumped! Hope there's plenty of wheelin to be had :burnrubber:

    Love the red!

What lens did you use here? I have a Canon 10-22mm that I enjoy. I used it to take my avatar in fact :)

YES! Im getting really close to having all the parts I need to install my lift. Im glad there will be someone with experience wrenching on first gen Tacos since my 4Runner is a third gen, very similar. Also glad for the group to be getting a first gen! Up until now its been more or less all second gens and then my Runner :yay:

 1st gen (almost) in the building! haha. Yeah man, they are way similar- it should be a breeze. Do you have jack stands and a floor jack/ does anybody in the area? If not- they sell a kit at sears that's around a hundred bucks that would do the trick.

There seems to be a kickass crew in the Austin area- so I'm stoked to make it out! I'll give more updated dates when I iron out all of my plans.

Oh, yeah, I hear you. I wasn't saying we should go to the D&B here, but that a place similar, in a centeralized location, would be good. I'm not familiar with the area between Austin and SA at all, so if you have any suggestions (besides Hooters, Tilted Kilt, Twin Peaks, strip club), then I'm down! :D

No problem! I am an equal opportunity Tacoma enthusiast :D

Well, to a point. There is a guy in Houston who is lowering his 4x4. That's going to be a truck only a mother could love....

Haha, we're all on here cause we all love tacomas :D no other reason.

    EDIT: and 4runners!

I love both 1st and 2nd gen- but I know a hell of a lot more about 1st gens :D

For the record, I wish I had locked differentials- but at least I have 4x hi and lo to get anyfuckinwhere I want  Never been anywhere where I needed to be locked instead of what I've got. happy to be here

That sounds like a great plan. It would be awesome to all get together for a mod day.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! Someone take his man card away. Why on earth would you do that to 4x4. Its just not right. But I guess if it makes him happy, more power to him.

Really! That's pretty cool. I didn't realize how wide of an angle those lenses had. Can you control that angle, go from 10mm, to 50mm, to maybe 80mm?

Also, do GoPros do still shots, or did you pull a frame from a video?

Dude, you're awesome and all, but my lifted truck and I would like to keep gender and lift seperate. It puts us women with lifted trucks in an awkward situation to be holding so many "man cards."

How about "awesome BAMF truck card." :burnrubber:

Very well said indeed. I take back my previous statement and will agree with you in saying that it should be an " awesome bamf truck card ". But I still believe that his needs to be swiped away lol.

Anyone know when the next meet is?
